Stayed here one night with family and one night was more than enough. The room we had reserved had been given to someone else and we found out by walking into the already-occupied room. The lady at the front desk was apologetic and helpful but our first impression of the place was already ruined. 'Breakfast' consisted of a tiny table of toast and muffins in the "lobby" (a small office-like place) and there was no seating area. Rooms were small and dingy. Most people stay here for the location as it is a 3 minute walk to the beach. Otherwise, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is an older motel that could use some updating. However, given that, I was able to get a clean room with fridge, microwave, TV, coffee maker and fan during the high season at a reasonable rate. The staff were pleasant. The included breakfast was small but included coffee/tea, bagels, oatmeal, granola bar and orange juice. The motel has a laundry, ice and a pool (closed at the time). This is not a "pretty" place to stay, but is right downtown in Long Beach with shops, restaurants, coffee and entertainment literally 100 ft. away. The beach is about 500 feet away, with parking nearby if you need to drive (why would you?).

This is definitely a budget option but customer friendly. So what's not to like?

Room Tip: 500 ft. from the beach. A great budget option during the high season.

Stayed here two nights, was quiet but we did come in on a Sunday afternoon. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size. There was mold in the shower and what looked like the lid from a hairspray can next to one of the beds, so I don't know how clean the room really was. Was close to the beach and shopping. The pool was supposed to be open but wasn't, which was too bad because it was actually warm and sunny the day we checked in.

Older motel. The motel was located close enough to the beach to walk, and close enough to walk the business area and check out the shops. We were surprised there was no air conditioning, but it got cool enough in the evening that we didn't need it. In the morning, the desk clerk walked to the bakery and picked up some fresh coffee cake, which was delicious!

There is no A/C, but it was comfortable for the time of year we visited. The front desk is very friendly. Fresh baked goods for breakfast from a local bakery. Downtown and the beach are both within walking distance. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
