My family had the pleasure of renting Cedar Cove Inn for 3 wonderful, relaxing nights. We had 2 toddlers and 14 adults. There was something for everyone, convenient location to town, relax in your own room or in one of the lounge areas. Lots of space outside, we loved the fire pit area. Most all rooms have a view of the bay and navel shipyards. Had family fun making meals. Lots of great restaurants close by too. Can't remember when I came home so relaxed.

Room Tip: Nordby probably has best view and is the largest. All the rooms were comfortable and spacious.

On a quiet street above the town of Port Orchard with great views overlooking the city and the sound. This beautiful inn has been lovingly restored to it's original beauty. It is furnished and decorated with well chosen antiques that make you feel at home. The wrap around porches with white wicker furniture offer great places for relaxing and visiting.
We stayed in October, so it was cool and rainy, but the view was still great. Kathy was a very gracious hostess who offered helpful information about the area and served a delicious breakfast.

Room Tip: Claw foot tub showers could be a challenge for some. Ask!

We really enjoyed our visit with Kathy and her son in Port Orchard before our trip to Alaska. The love put into this property is very apparent. The location is fabulous overlooking the city and the Puget Sound. The many decks are fabulous for both watching, relaxing and visiting with friends. You won't be disappointed if you stay in this lovely property.

On a hill with a sweeping view of the waters of the Sinclair Inlet, the historic 1909 Cedar Cove Inn has been lovingly restored by owners Gil and Kathy. The property had been neglected when the couple purchased it, but they had a vision to restore the home to its former glory. That vision took eleven years to come to fruition, but finally they opened the doors to this incredible gem of restoration.

The exterior resembles a southern plantation with a wide veranda encircling the home. The views from the veranda extend to the Sinclair Inlet and beyond.

If guests take time to appreciate the details it could take quite some time to view it all. The rich wood in the flooring, walls and doors is kept to a perfect sheen. Some of the original windows are still intact as evidenced by the waves in the glass. The inn is furnished with antiques, which blend marvelously with the restored showpiece of a home. We stayed in the Sidney Room, which is on the third floor with a wonderful water view and a delightful claw-foot bathtub. The ambiance is one of another era – and is charming and comforting.

Guests are welcome in the spacious kitchen where there are snacks and drinks available. Delicious breakfasts are prepared with care by Kathy. The breakfast room is comfortable and, like all the rooms at the inn, has a lovely view.

An elevator takes guests from the first to the second floor.

Kathy does the inn’s upkeep herself and is a hard worker bent on keeping the inn alive with history, but sparkling in the present.

The inn is quiet except for the distant cry of gulls from the inlet and chirping of birds from the trees in the manicured grounds. Cedar Cove Inn offers everything to make a perfect week or weekend stay.

Your kind comments and enjoyment of the Inn and it's history are so very special. Thank you so for taking the time to share. We too love the history of the Inn and that it hopefully will be here for another 100 years to welcome guests to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

They spent 11 years lovingly restoring this home overlooking the harbor. The wood floors are a work of art in themselves. Wood reaches half way up the walls. Picture windows complement the wrap around porches on the main and second floors. Bugle notes float acoss the bay from the Naval Station when the flag is raised at 8 am and lowered at sunset. The family from Downton Abbey would feel right at home in this turn of the century elegance, right down to the baby grand piano. An elevator takes you to the second story bedrooms, but does not reach the third floor. Excellent for adults, not recommended for children.

Room Tip: Out GPS had a hard time finding the place. Use the owner's directions instead.
