Located in a lovely little port. Very restful. Breakfast was lovely. Mind that you use the innkeeper’s driving directions as Garmin/iMaps/Google are not accurate. Innkeeper is very helpful with drive times and directions to the Port Angeles ferry port.

My wife and I spent a very romantic evening at the Cedar Cove Inn Bed and Breakfast in Port orchard, WA for Mother's Day. The owners built a matching home for themselves while they painfully restored this beautiful home that was built in 1909. Their craftsmanship was spectacular resulting in a beautiful bed and breakfast. This is undoubtedly the cleanest B & B we have ever stayed in. The owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome and definitely at home. She shared some of her personal stories about the home with us which was very interesting. Kathy was a wonderful hostess as well as the innkeeper. She is what holds the Inn together today and does a very good job doing so. Due to prearranged arrangements with friends of ours we did not stay for breakfast but sure wish we could have.
The inn sits atop a hill above town with wonderful views of the town below, the surrounding waters of Puget Sound, the adjacent Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and marine traffic and the beautiful Olympic mountains. You can easily walk to town to dine in one of the restaurants or just sit on the outside decks and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
We will definitely be returning to spend another night at the Cedar Cove Inn.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Cedar Cove Inn! The house is jaw-droppingly beautiful and offers the best views of the City of Port Orchard, Puget Sound, Bremerton Ships, and the Olympics I have seen anywhere. Kathy offered us a tour of the seven bedroom house and told us a bit of the history, which was fascinating. The dining room, music room and sitting room all face the water, and the TV room has a northern view of the water and Bremerton ships. It was the oversized deck we especially loved as it wrapped around three sides of the house and offered seating unobstructed views in almost every direction.

Our room was spacious and nicely decorated with a full bath, a wonderfully comfortable bed, and more of the beautiful water, city and mountain view we discovered on the deck.

Because we were meeting friends for breakfast, we did not have the opportunity to sample breakfast at Cedar Cove Inn but the smells were delicious. Next visit, we will definitely eat breakfast at the Inn. This was a wonderful visit.

There are steps from the parking area to the inn, and an indoor elevator that can transport visitors and their luggage from the main level to the second floor. If you chose a third floor room, you will need to walk and haul luggage up that last level.

Room Tip: Our view room was on the third floor. Choose a second floor room if steps are a problem.

The Cedar Cove Inn was such a quiet, beautiful and serene place for our first-day of a week long vacation. Everything is top-notch and we thank our host for making it a memorable experience! We had a wonderful dinner right down the hill at The Bistro, too.

If your are fans of Debbie Macomber - especially the book and TV series Cedar Cove, you owe it to yourself to visit the town where Macomber is a near industry.
Be sure to visit the (relatively) nearby Debbie Macomber yarn shop and cafe.

Room Tip: I'm guessing that every room has a great view.
