overall nice property, very ordinary food. But smoking was allowed close to our window. Food was burned and no seconds offered the first morning. There is no flexibility on the menu, We requested oatmeal, they said yes, but that was all we could have. We said that we had brought oatmeal with us, but no flexibility on their part. Note: the rate changes on the weekend.

Room tip: Don't go by first picture. Don't expect any flexibity on menu. Everything is a drive

This modern, well appointed B&B is located just a few easy miles from downtown Port Townsend, set in a beautiful forest with ample parking. The hosts are gracious, friendly and informative. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The morning we were there, we watched five deer having their morning meal just outside the breakfast nook windows.

The bedroom, bath and common areas were comfortable, spotless and well-lit. We will stay there again if ever on the Olympic Peninsular.

Room tip: All of the rooms appear to be the same size and quality. Maybe the SW room is slightly more private.

Beautiful B & B in the woods. Bob and Nancy were most gracious hosts and have anticipated everything a guest might need or want. Beautifully furnished rooms and common areas. Breakfast was outstanding, the best of our 10 day trip!

Quiet forest B & B just minutes from downtown Port Townsend. The home was built for hospitality. Three private rooms that open on the central public space. Quiet rooms, in the forest. Nice hiking out the back door or in a few minutes of driving. Good breakfast.

That's what the hosts have done, and they worked from a good checklist. Modern? Check. Comfortable? Check. Spotless? Check. Plenty of space in the room? Check. Plenty of space in the walk-in closet? Check. Plentiful and conveniently located electrical outlets? Check. Comfortable shower with lots of hot water? Check. Soft, absorbent towels? Check. Tasty breakfast? Check. Pleasant hosts? Check. Quiet and away from the center of town? Check. And on and on. No question that we would go back. The only things I can think of to tweak are to 1) change out the first picture on TripAdvisor portfolio -- it's Port Townsend but not seen from Amber Lights B&B -- and 2) see if it's possible to back off on the softness of the water. (The latter is just a personal preference.)
