This is a great house in Berkeley Springs, just a few blocks from downtown. The house is large and comfortable. It was perfect for our young children. There is a small front yard to relax and a fantastic sunroom to read and play. We will be back!

Only stayed a few days, but toured downtown, lots of antique shops. Visited Atasia Spa, and Cacapon State Park. Highly recommend the park! Pool table in the house, games to play and Jacuzzi makes it a relaxing place to be.

“Relaxing family fun within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and spas (pet friendly)”

Stayed here with 3 teens, who neglected their smart phones on a regular basis while we were here. The house is quaint and nicely decorated, there was enough room for us to spread out and not be on top of each other. We took advantage of the piano, ukulele, chess board table, pool table, darts, and relaxing deck. We were able to walk to shops, spas, restaurants, and events in town square. The house was surprisingly secluded for being so close to town. The owners left wonderful muffins, juice, and coffee for us and were attentive without being overbearing the entire trip.

“Best Stay Ever for Romantic Getaway”
Reviewed 2 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

My husband and I stayed at the Berkeley House from Dec. 27 - Dec. 30 for a post-holiday romantic getaway. This house is simply beautiful with rustic Victorian accents and modern amenities. We especially liked the spacious 2-person jacuzzi, the lazy sun-lit sun room, the pool table and darts, and the gas fireplace in the cozy sitting room. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and utensils, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle and more. I am a germ-a-phobe and this place was squeaky clean and well-maintained. There were so many nice touches added to make our stay feel more personal and pampered. Nice big towels and lots of them, lotions, soaps, pretty little baskets with rolled wash clothes...everything was presented so nicely. Again, the style of the house is rustic and has a feel of a large cottage. Check out my photo gallery to see what we experienced. All in all, we had a very pampered, relaxing and romantic getaway. It surpassed my expectations and I would highly recommend anyone staying here. It would also make a wonderful place for two or three couples to stay or for family gathering or a friends gathering place/reunion. There was more than enough room that you could easily go off to a different part of the house to read or be alone if you wanted to...and then go back to main areas or outside areas. We plan to come back again and bring a couple of our friends! Oh, and the owners were very nice and provided details of our stay in advance and recommendations on where to eat, etc. It was very easy to book. Do it! :)

“A Gem in Berkeley Springs”
Reviewed 1 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We spent the Friday & Saturday nights after Thanksgiving. The house is in a great location, walking distance to town for eating and shopping. It's an old country house decorated in that vein. The kitchen is large and well equipped and the owners left us with some pastries and OJ for breakfast. Our first night there it was quite cold but the heating system kept up with no problem. We enjoyed the game room and played pool and darts - and even did one of the jigsaw puzzles from the bookshelf. The soaking tub was a nice treat, and again, the owners left some nice bath minerals that we added to the water for an even better experience. ~ We splurged one night and ate at Lot 12 Public House (a very short walk from the house), and the other night we ate at the bar at Tari's. We'd recommend both. We weren't able to get a reservation for the Berkeley Springs State Park Baths - next time we'll make a reservation in advance, but there are free taps outside the park for you to fill up your water jugs, if you desire. Lastly, we did a nice hike at Cacapon State Park. This park looks like a fun place to go during the summer as they have a swimming lake. ~ All in all, we highly recommend this place to stay.
