We stopped for lunch while traveling through Berkeley Springs and liked it so much that we made a point to stop again on our way home. The food is very good, the staff is friendly and helpful and the environment is lovely. My husband loved the cream of crab soup and I really liked the grilled cheese. Our grandson had the cheeseburger on both visits and liked it -- and the fries that came with it.

Ashland was our waitress and she was lovely. She even remembered us on our return visit.

I wish the restaurant were closer to our home so we could visit it more often. As it is, we're limited to making certain we eat at it on our next visit to the area.

Located less than a block north of Berkeley Springs State Park, we very much enjoyed our lunch in this pleasant restaurant within an art gallery setting. Fresh ingredients are used in their meals; nothing fancy or " over the top", just simple, regular sandwiches and salads done very, very well. We can both recommend the tomato arugula bisque, the Health Club sandwich served on a tandoori naan bread, and the Tree Hugger veggie burger served on naan bread. Service is excellent in this very popular Berkeley Springs restaurant.

Asked one of shopkeepers for good place for lunch, several along the Main Street and off the Main Street. She recommended Tari's, said they made a good crabcake (we are very picky about our crab cakes from Baltimore!) she said they made them the right way. However, we didn't get one, Sunday afternoon lunch had a decent amount of tables filled....the menu was extensive with a lot of interesting selections. They had a special, a salmon blt with dark and light marbled rye bread. The sandwich was about 6 inches tall, loaded with bacon, nice and crisp, not soggy, and a nice piece of salmon. We could only eat half, took back to hotel room and ate later in afternoon. Waitress continued filling ice tea.looking around at other tables, the servings were huge, one hamburger looked about a half pound of me..had wraps, salads...a good selection.prices were reasonable. Am looking forward to going back next year...hope they have the salmon Blt on the menu then too....it was a winner!

We stayed 2 nights at Tari's and had 1 dinner and l lunch a piece. Oh my is all I have to stay. We had a shared appetizer, 1 entrée and soft drink for lunch and for dinner the same and an added dessert. The staff is so friendly and kind. The food was so good and fresh. The sandwiches are so big we had a snack later. I highly recommend this café. It is casual but the food is upscale without being stuffy or small in size. Yum!

We have stopped here many times over the years drving from VA to MI. In the past wee have had wonderful meals. The last couple of times not so...we always say we'll give it one more try and have been disappointed enough to say that's it! I don't know what's changed but it's a shame!
