Crackerbarrel is my personal favorite for breakfast. We do not have close Crackerbarrels. We need to travel an hour to get to a one. We have visited many different places.
The Crackerbarrel at Cross Lanes is the best of the chain I have experienced. We stopped in early in the morning, about 6:30 AM. I had eggs over medium, crisp bacon, grits hashbrown casserole, biscuits and gravy. My husband had the same thing, except he ordered eggs over hard. Our Grandson ordered French toast. All the food was cooked just as ordered. It is hard to find a place to cook the eggs as ordered. We will stop there again on our way South.

Went to this restaurant for dinner (around 6:30) to get a delicious campfire beef dinner following a long, long work day. We had to wait over 20 minutes just to get seated. We observed at least 10-15 empty tables, but still they wouldn't seat the third to forty guests who waited with us. After a long, long wait we were finally seated. Again we waited in an almost empty dining room for several minutes to place our order. Only after tracking down a server were we able to order.....only to be told they did not have the campfire dinners we hungrily anticipated. Very frustrating because we were told by the hostess while we waited they had plenty to be served.

Don't know why we had to wait so long to be seated in a nearly empty dining room. Maybe they were short staffed. But, several people left refusing to wait. We should have left too. Will NEVER return to this restaurant. Inexcusable.

The restaurant as a whole was not overly busy. There was only 4 in our party. Our server appeared distracted and was not very attentive. She did not ask if we desired separate tickets, she forgot many of our requests and never brought the take home containers that she had offered. We sat waiting 10 minutes on these.

Thursday at 2:00. Place almost empty, but plenty of waitresses. Didn't give us breakfast menus even though they serve breakfast all day. Took 15 minutes to get drinks after we were seated. Rolled silverware missing the fork. Food was good, tho.
