Don't go with in 5 miles of this dump, it should be condemned and shut down. Junk all over, filthy, room had some god awful smell a cross between a rendering plant and concentration camp. We were in room for 10
seconds and left, that was enough to have smell on our clothes. I'll never stay in anything owned by Wynham since they allow this to stay open.

Room Tip: don't go there is no good room

Had stayed at this motel several years ago while attending the Blues Festival. At that time it would have been at least 5 stars (maybe 5 1/2 ). Great restaurant and lounge. Nice comfortable, very clean rooms. Drove extra miles Friday night July 21, 2017 with this memory. On arrival things were a whole lot different. Lobby was hot and humid and filthy. No restaurant no lounge. Should have left then but was super tired. Guy who checked me in said they had the only 2 rooms left in Wheeling (the annual Italian Festival was going on). Said he'd give me a deal of $90 for 2 beds 2 people. Did tell me in advance that it was a smoking room. Elevator smelled like stale urine. First room was 416. It had a filthy floor, non-working fridge, tub would not drain, no skid layer in tub peeling off, non-flushing toilet, holes in blankets etc. and an odor that was NOT smoke. Replacement room was 419. Slightly cleaner, tub drain worked, toilet very slow-flush. Spent the night out of desperation. Woke up at 2AM very cold. Air conditioner had finally started working. Couldn't turn it down, remote didn't work buttons were missing. When daylight finally came I could see the black "stuff" in air conditioner. Same black "stuff" in bathroom vent. "Terrible" rating is too high but lowest featured. Found out from talking to some locals that place is known as a "Hole". Even people outside of town at a gas stop knew about it. I stopped in Newell to buy some corn and tomatoes and they heard of it's reputation. Can't believe a franchise would allow a place like this to use it's name. Shame it's went to this condition.

Room Tip: Stay in a different motel.

Came here for a hockey game 5hrs away, room had no heat running. After 2hrs having the heat on or if you want to call it heat the room was still cool. So on comes the shower full on hot steam, made a bit of a difference but not running it all night. 1 towel 1 face cloth for 3 people. The only thing that worked good was the fridge and tv. Get what you pay for, it's more like a crack hotel.

I'm sorry to my family

I didn't expect too much from this place and didn't plan to be in the room a lot; I just needed a pet friendly, cheap place to stay for a weekend of local-ish adventuring. Pets are $15 each per day, which is quite high for a place like this, especially because there isn't a grassy area on the property to take them out to. Pros - clean sheets, hot water, good water pressure, AC worked, nice front desk staff, and location was great (right next to the suspension bridge) and easy to locate (on the right, right off the exit). My biggest complaint would be my room's door not shutting securely. I literally had to body slam it to get it to latch, so that was a little spooky. The continental breakfast is coffee and a pre-wrapped cinnamon raisin danish which they stop serving quite early. I think it would have been worth what I paid without the pet fees, but I wouldn't stay here alone without my dogs.

We checked in and went to room. The bath tub bottom was stained with dirt. There were stains on the carpet. The room had a horrible smell. The smoke detector was disconnected and the exposed wires were wire nutted together. Looked in windows of other rooms. Mattresses were filled with cigarette burns. The outside railing is rusted. It is dirty no matter where you walk. I would not let a rat stay there. STAY AWAY.

Room Tip: Do Not Stay Here
