We enjoyed our experience in the hibachi side of the restaurant. The ninjas here are so cool. I love the decor. The giant sun and the squid are neat too. I love the atmosphere in the bar area too. The jelly fish lights give the room a nice effect. The Kiddy Cocktail (juices) was delicious. Both of my kids, 11 and 13, enjoyed those. We had steak and it was delicious. I loved my scallops. Yum. The tea was great too. Our waiter was excellent. Very funny and knowledgeable about Green Bay. We appreciated that. Would love to go back for the sushi.

Waitress (Kaley?) was either having an off night or just isn't cut out for the job. Kept messing up things like bringing draft beer instead of the bottle I asked for 2x, then seemed put off when I asked for the bottle I ordered instead of the draft, didn't come around to check on table often, boxed up my leftovers, but handed them to the guy in the other party who was 3 seats away? Just overall didn't seem to be following along very well or on her game. When I got my change I had a question about something and called her Kendra because that's what the receipt said, she must have took offense and snapped back that wasn't her name. Just rude for most of the meal and that topped it off. Also, she didn't bring change for me to have much of an option to tip her (trick of the trade I guess she hasn't learned.) Gave her $100 and I get back a $20 and 4 $1s with some change. I'm not cheap and usually tip 20% or better, but that wasn't happening this time.

Cook was cool and had a few tricks I hadn't seen before. We had some basic sushi rolls (aac & spicy salmon) both very good. Also, ordered the dinner for 2 angus filet, shrimp, and chicken. The hibachi food was good, but steak was a little over cooked and I asked for no bean sprouts, but he must have forgot or heard me wrong and skipped me on the shrooms and gave me the sprouts (was too late to say anything by time I realized unless they were going to get more from kitchen) again no huge deal, but when I'm paying $75 for dinner, I guess I just expect more than I got.

Will go back in hopes of a better experience like we've had in the past instead of this time.

Nakashima's has been a birthday tradition for many years in our family and has always proven to be a consistently a good experience, that is until this February 18th. It was my birthday and as we always do in our family we went to Nakashima's for dinner. It was a Saturday so they were especially busy. We arrived around 7pm and were told it would be an hour and a half. We did not mind the wait, as we do not see each other that often as we have grown older and would use the time to catch up with each other. It was a little after 9 when were seated. We were the second last table to be seated. We were seated with a young family, 4 children and two adults. Since there were three of us, all adults, it made for a pretty tight squeeze. Right from the start something was different. Nothing was happening as it typically does. When I got my steak and mushrooms before any thing else, I asked our chef what was going on. I didn't get an answer so I told him I wanted the fried rice I ordered which always comes before the entree. I was told I would get it at the end. Hearing this I went to see the manager on duty to ask why. All very calm I might add. I was told there was a food allergy at our table. Turns out someone was allergic to onions. It also seems there is onions in almost everything they make there. So when I got back to the table, upset at this point, and explained why we did not get the meal we ordered, I must have gotten a little loud. We could not help but wonder why that persons meal had not been prepared in the back kitchen or why we were not seated with the last table which only had two people and was seated immediately after us, not that we would have minded waiting a little longer since we had already waited over two hours. The mother of the children told me I was scaring here children. (Oh, did I mention the woman was wearing pajama pants. I don't think I could say anymore about the type of people they were than that.) I wasn't that loud, then her boyfriend decided to enter the conversation with an attitude so things went down hill from there. There were a lot of things management could have done to assure we got the meal we ordered. They really dropped the ball and it became a much larger problem than it needed to be.

First time visit and we were impressed with the food. Creative, varied menu. We had the Tuna Guacamole and Shrimp Jalapeno Poppers (and a few other things) that were delicious. Highly recommend. My husband had one of the Sake flights and we found that enjoyable as well. Definitely will go back. There are so many more choices on the menu that we're looking forward to.

My family visits this restaurant frequently. If you do hibachi bring your biggest appetite because it's a lot of delicious food. Most of the chefs put on a really nice show especially for the young ones. I normally skip the hibachi and have the sushi. It is amazing! Really nice portion sizes and always fresh. Great place for date night but not for those on a budget.
