My wife and I stayed in the Le Silo after our wedding night. The owner, Nancy, was so accommodating about everything. She allowed me to pick up the key early in the morning and even had flowers and a wedding gift in the room for us. The room itself was very clean and the whirlpool worked very well all in all I would say it was an excellent stay!

Room tip: The Le Silo does have lots of stairs so if you struggle with stairs this would not be the room for you

We found this gem by accident because everything in Dubuque was booked,
LOVE IT! Stayed in the Art Deco. We have gone back for the Silo (You need to be able to do stairs) and the Gazebo (Very romantic)
And the food in the local bars is nothing fancy, but Fantastic burgers to boot!

Room tip: We have done the Gazebo, the Silo and the Art Deco. All are fantastic

The Ambrosia Inn is the perfect getaway for the wife and I. This is our second time here and just love the peaceful setting. Our room was very clean. Nancy is a very nice lady and took good care of us. We intended to come on Valentines weekend but had other obligations. Nancy booked us for the following weekend with no problems at all. The Happy Valentine's Day balloon she had for my wife was still floating the following week. The Inn is tucked away in the little town of Hazel Green. So quaint. We Loved it.

- Our 30th Anniversary vacation began with a single day in Galena, Illinois where we had celebrated our 5th and 20th anniversaries. On this occasion we had a terrible time trying to find accommodations due to the business of the weekend but thanks to Sally at the tourism center in Galena we booked a room at the Ambrosia Inn. Room really isn’t the right word since each lodging there is its’ own little house. There are two old cabins, two new cabins and even a silo converted to guest accommodations. We were able to stay in “Le Gazebo”. The name sounded a bit funny but it fits. It is a charming, six sided gazebo built as a guest room. Nancy, the owner/operator is very pleasant and engaging. She even left us a gift for us especially for our anniversary. Our gazebo/room was very nicely decorated with wicker furniture, a fireplace, and even a Jacuzzi tub big enough to two. The bed was comfortable and the banana nut muffins, coffee and juice were a pleasant breakfast.
Set in the small, quiet town of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, the Ambrosia Inn was a perfect start to our vacation. Thank you Nancy!
Note: Ambrosia Inn is marketed towards couples/adults as a romantic getaway. If you’re traveling with kids this won’t work for you.

Quite by chance we found this place on a recent Harley trip to beautiful Wisconsin. Nancy greeted us whole heartedly and made us feel instantly welcome! Beautiful room, very very clean, comfortable bed, and delicious coffee. We highly recommend and will certainly stay again. (The web site needs work and does not accurately reflect how cool this place is.) Why stay in Galena or Dubuque when this is just down the road!
