Love this hotel! There are many hotels to choose from in La Crosse but none compare to GrandStay.
We always get exactly what we request. Service is excellent even on busy weekends like Oktoberfest or UWLAX moving in weekend. My only complaint is I never can figure out if I should empty clean dishes from dishwasher or take out as I use and leave in sink. Then again, I have never asked the staff what to do!!

Very nice room, well equipped and in excellent condition. Breakfast is great, the food area is very nice but could use another table or two when busy.

Location is close to downtown for walking but off the main street so it is quiet. Short walk to the riverfront. Perfect location to attend the Great River Folk Festival

Hotel staff was prompt and very friendly. Room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed having the suite. Full size refrigerator was unexpected. Nicely decorated room and lobby area. Breakfast was more than we expected. Would love to come back.

Very clean and hospitable. We had a one bedroom suite, which was modern and updated very nicely. The only things that could be improved upon was the "closet", which was actually a stand alone cupboard. As we were only staying a couple of days it was enough, but not adequate for a longer stay. Also, the bathroom had no fan or vent so it got very steamy. The breakfast was standard fare. Differently prepared eggs each day, but the usual cereals, make your own waffle, and different types of bread, etc.

Room Tip: The suites were nice for 2 people, but I imagine would be cramped for more.

We've stayed at this hotel for 4-5 weeks every Aug for about 7+ years. This is our 'go north' trip every year since we live in TX and want to escape the heat. We always stay at least 30 days because then we don't have to pay any tax. Location, walking distance to the Riverside Park on the river and downtown shopping and restaurants, is ideal. Hotel is nice and clean and staff are very friendly. We always ask for and get a DVD player for the room. Full sized fridge and stovetop mean we can cook in the room. Breakfast selection gets a little old after a while if staying long term, but about average for this type hotel. Perfect place for a long term stay. Nightly rates go down for long term also so call to ask for that. Hot tub and pool are clean and there is a nice outside sitting area.
