If you plan on visiting Manitowoc, this is a must see. It features a tour of an old submarine. There is much to see here including a 1600s bible !

This museum is top notch, lots to see above and below. Enthusiastic volunteers and workers are friendly and helpful. They also host events such as a New Years Eve party, events for naval veterans, 4th of July, kids etc.. they have even fired up the Diesel engine during a memorial event. I'm blessed to live here and not only visit but to drive by frequently in honor of our contribution to WW2!

The museum has nice displays throughout, with their flagship display being the WWII sub that has been painstakingly restored by volunteers. The engines can start but it is moored. They offer group overnight stays on the sub. They feature the sub at Subfest in July every year. It is definitely worth a trip to see it.
