We went here on a Tuesday, which is Kid's Night. Kid's meals are $1. Let's be honest. They are not worth much more than a dollar. We ordered cheese curds as an appetizer. They took a very long time and when they arrived, there were very few cheese curds for $8. Our wait for our dinner was even longer, despite the restaurant looking fairly empty. The waiter was completely unsympathetic. When it is Kid's night, it is not reasonable to make little kids wait a long time for their food. Our adult entrees were mediocre at best and overpriced for sandwiches. The onion strings were cold, overfried, and unappetizing. Not in a hurry to go back anytime soon as there are plenty of other options in the Tosa area. It's sad to see The Chancery go downhill.

The Chancery has been around for a long time, and it's mostly the same as you probably remember. It's clean and comfortable, you can bring family and kids here, and you'll get a reasonable meal at a reasonable price. The food is good and well-prepared. Being a small local company, you don't have a lot of prepackaged foods that are the same no matter what city you go to.
Appetizers and happy hour are good, and help bring down the price of the meal overall.
I will probably come back, since I usually meet friends here.

The Chancery has always been our comfy, safe, go-to in Tosa. A few things have changed (there is no sampler appetizer platter anymore....wwaaaahh!) and some are better.

The food is reliable, the location is great. Kids are entertained when trains rumble past, it feels like a great place to celebrate with your family.

We have had many a celebration here. Lots of good memories!

This is a family style restaurant/pub where you get exactly what you would anticipate: a decent menu with a good number of selections with reasonably prepared food presented in 'Wisconsin" type proportions served by attentive staff doing a good job. No more, no less. This is not a place where I'd ever go for a serious business lunch, a romantic dinner, or to hold an important family reunion. However, if I were going out to lunch with my kids or having dinner with BB teammates, this would be a reasonable place to visit.

This was my 1st time to this local chain of restaurants, and we'd reserved enough tables to accommodate our family group of about 30+ at brunch time. Some ordered breakfast, some had lunch, and we all ordered drinks & small appetizers to pass the time until all the entrees were ready at the same time & brought out. Service was excellent, making sure we had plenty of whatever we needed, and all the orders came out of the kitchen correctly. There were several menu items that appealed to me, so the decision on what to eat was difficult. Finally decided to do "Pasta Your Way" with cavatappi, grilled chicken, wine/garlic butter sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms & spinach topped with plenty of parmesan. It was excellent, pasta & chicken not over-done or under-done. This place is certainly worth a second trip if I find myself in the area again, and their special Irish coffees made with Kahlua are wonderful on a cold day.
