Stayed 1 nite Oct.1. The park has lots of trees and could be very nice, but road inside park are narrow and full of holes. Our site was very unlevel so had to level 5thwheel. WIFI is useless. Spend all your time trying to connect, only to get disconnected. No cable and only 3 local stations. Water connection is in a manhole underground and has crud and spider webs in it. Please fix up the park, it could be very nice

When I book at a KOA that is listed as a Journey I expect it to be one of the better KOAs. That's not the case. It is past it's prime and long overdue for updating. The showers and surrounding area smelled of sewer gas. It's a lower-end KOA with the potential to be much better.

This KOA was very accommodating and friendly at check in and check out. The cabin was great, clean and private. Sheridan had a lot to offer with shopping and places to eat. The showers were very private Don't remember the name of the local cafe we had breakfast but I was wonderful.

Room Tip: KOA's offer a great place for campers knowing that it will be clean.

The staff - we only met one person - was very pleasant and helpful. The major problem was site size. We have a 22' travel trailer and a small pickup truck, and we could barely fit. On one side, without a slideout there was 15'. There was a picnic table, but the benches were put on top of the table due to lack of space. On the other side, with our slide extended, there was 5'. There was absolutely no extra room in front or behind. We did not use showers or bathroom, so we have no opinion there. For a one night stay, it was minimally acceptable.

We stayed here both directions on a trip from CO to MT. While the first night we stayed, we could hear interstate noise, but it wasn't terrible -- we were on the far side of the campground with lots of RVs to block the noise. There are nice amenities - basketball court, swimming pool (but you can't use in the morning before checkout - so get there early if you want to swim), and decent showers.
So we decided to come back on the way home... and it was a huge mistake. The only tent sites available were right next to the interstate overpass with no trees or any kind of barrier to reduce sound. I felt like I had semis right next to my head all night long. I finally shoved toilet paper in my ears to attempt to sleep, but only managed small dozes. After a very late night arrival, we were up and out by 7:30am. When I suggested to the owner that they might reconfigure the tent sites because of the interstate noise, she was disinterested and responded that they had bought the campground like it is. Don't camp in a tent here if you don't get there early and can't pick a site away from the road... you might as well just sleep under the overpass.
