I wanted to like this hotel because the views are fantastic, but everything else was on par with a Radisson or Holiday Inn. Doubletree down the street is far superior.
Concierge/travel desk. Not sure if she’s employed by the hotel, but she’s amazing and super helpful. Can’t say enough about her. She even hooked us up with a local taxi driver and it was like having a personal Uber driver.
Rooms: very dated rooms and over 3 nights, the housekeeper never got the strands of hair out of the shower. Power outlets lacking. Again, the views from the balcony save the day.
Bar: After a long day of travel, we really needed a beer. But the bar/cafe closes early on Sundays. It’s a hotel so overpriced I get, but zero atmosphere and no outdoor seating at an oceanfront hotel? Skip it and go to the minimart out front and drink on your balcony.
Restaurant: overpriced for Denny’s quality food, oddly cut fruit, and lukewarm items. Even with the coupons, go to the Doubletree for better food and a better value.
Pool: ice cold, hard to get to, and limited seating.
This place served its purpose for a business trip punctuated by some vacation activities but if you’re traveling strictly for leisure, look elsewhere. More
