We very much enjoyed this evening. They were well organized with a large crowd and there were various activities to do before the meal and show. Most tables had great views. The performers were engaging and talented. We would recommend this for all ages.

We changed it up a bit this trip and went to the Luau Kalamaku rather than Smith’s and while I think the entertainment is more authentic and fire dancers were better - the food and location were lacking. The property is not built out like Smith’s and they have a bunch of vendors like a farmer’s market or art festival instead of animals and natural beauty. While we did buy quite a bit and liked the option, it shouldn’t be the only one. They have tons of land and should build it out with gardens, ponds etc. The food was OK and not a fan of the big tent you sit in the whole time.

Very family friendly venue. Great buffet, especially the pork! Drinks were plentiful and the show was beautiful. Can't go wrong when you're flinging around fire on a stick! Not entirely sure paying for premium seating was worth the extra cost though. We were farther away but elevated above the others. The table wasn't crowded together like down below.

We attended the Luau last night, and I came away impressed. My first recommendation is to take the train ride. The grounds are nice, but there's not much to see outside of the 10 or so vendors that were there. I think the Plantation is really big with a lot to see, but you don't have access to it on foot.

The second part of a Luau is the food, which I thought was good but not exceptional. There was a good selection, all centered around the pork. There was a good cocktail slection (obvious Hawaiin choices) along with beer & wine. For how many people attend this Luau, they do a really good job keeping the wait times down with multiple bars open and several lines through the buffet.

The highlight of the night is definitely the show. It was an amazing performance that told a good story and appeared to be visible to all tables in the room.

My wife and I had never been to Hawaii before and we had never been to a luau. We heard from a couple people that this one was good, so we went. It was a very touristy thing to do and I doubt we would do another one. We certainly enjoyed the performers who seemed fairly authentic and enthusiastic. They put on a good show. We were seated near the steaming tables and bar so we got our meal quickly. The actual food was very ordinary. The servers and bartenders all did an excellent job.
