Our family visited beautiful Maui for the 3rd time but this was our first time completely the entire Road to Hana. Susan from Awapuhi Adventures communicated with us in advance to help customize our trip. Due to personal choice, we followed Matt in our car and we appreciated his flexibility and ensuring my husband felt comfortable with the tight navigations. Matt was calm, caring and knowledgeable about the historical/geographical aspects of the island. We appreciated that. Having a Guide permits everyone to relax without worrying about missing an important mile marker. Maui's changing landscape is mesmerizing and my personal highlight was jumping into an ocean tidal pool. Matt took some great family pics so this vacation, everyone is in the shots! Thank you Awapuhi Adventures for the positive mana. I recommend this to anyone visiting Maui. Taz and Family

The private road to Hana tour was extremely fulfilling and an unforgettable experience. Chris was an amazing tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He opened our eyes to a lot of topics surrounding the nature and sustainability. We had an incredible time, and would definitely recommend anyone thinking of going on the road to Hana tour! Definitely go on a private tour to really experience Maui and its beauty.

If you are between this tour and a group tour, please do this!!! Let me start off by saying that our tour guide, Chris made this experience and felt more like a friend. There is nothing worse then having a boring, no personality tour guide. He had great things to say about this company and truly cares and loves what he does. He was down to earth, experienced, full of history and knowledge and a great, safe driver. You would not get this type of expierence with a group tour and it was worth every penny. We saw so many beautiful things and learned so much. We went at our own pace and made some amazing stops. We got a lot of rain and never felt slighted with the experience (we could not do some hiking with the down pour). My husband and I are celebrating our honeymoon and couldn’t think of a better way to start our vacation. We will remember this forever and you will too! Do it-you will not regret it!!!

Our tour to Hana with Matt exceeded our expectations in so many ways. His deep knowledge of the island history, culture, plant life and geology gave us great insight into the wonders of Maui.

It was also very calming with Matt at the wheel, navigating the narrow roads and blind corners, allowing us take in all the sights along the way.

We trekked the bamboo forest, saw several water falls, visited the black sand beach and stopped at a few other hidden gems that likely are not in the guide books. We took a break for a fresh, tasty lunch at a Hana farm on our way back. Thank you Matt for an amazing day and many many wonderful memories!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and didn’t have a chance to book tours before hand. I was trying to squeeze in a half day road to Hana tour, but all the companies were booked. I emailed Susan and she was able to squeeze us in for a private tour with Chris! He was amazing, very patient, knowledgeable, and a super chill and nice guy! The mini black sand beach was beautiful and he taught us how to skip rocks. Thanks for spending the day with us!
