On a recent trip to Maui, we stopped at the Maui Brewing Company in Kihei. This is a new location for us. On our previous trips they weren't here. The location is fantastic. There is plenty of room in a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of Kehei. Our tour guide, Paul, was knowledgeable and friendly, and was happy to answer questions the group members had. The operation is amazing; we were overwhelmed by the complexity of it. Following the tour, we tasted four current beers, all slightly different from each other. Paul explained the differences and the ingredients that went into each. We had dinner there and that was fantastic. Service excellent. The following evening we sat at the bar and sipped one of our favorites from the tasting session. Live music that night, so that might not be your thing. It was quality, but not something everyone enjoys. Bar personnel were top-notch. All in all an excellent experience. Recommend it highly.

We prefer the Kihei location and loved the new MBC Kihei restaurant. We enjoyed eating outdoors yesterday afternoon. Wait staff are all friendly. Lots of MBC beer varieties to choose from. Live music in the afternoon.

I came here with my wife for dinner. We had drinks, my wife drinking a lychee drink and myself partaking of the beer menu, which is impressively extensive, inclusive of many varieties, and brewed by the place. The drinks by themselves would get 5 stars. The negative is the food, which is inconsistent. We had pork belly bao, which was absolutely flavorless. We had pike tacos as well for an appetizer, which was surprisingly also rather dull and flavorless. My wife got for dinner the macadamia crusted with curry sauce. She was told the curry was not spicy at all. It was VERY spicy, to where we had to trade our dinners. I eat raw habaneros at times and this dish was still hot to me. My dinner was supposed to be the bison moco loco, which actually was a fantastic meal. Overall, food was not worth the price. Go for the drinks, though, after you finish your dinner.

We were excited to take this tour but ended up disappointed. It was our understanding that at the end of the tour we would receive a full sized beer and a souvenir glass. The tour was interesting and informative about the brewery itself but we didn't see much of the facility. We have toured other larger breweries and never disappointed. Would not recommend this tour.
