Kia Lagoon is a wonderful condo -well hair tainted, a great view, great accommodations. Everything you could want was available to use-dishes, pits/pans, appliances, linens, towels, beach towels and chairs! The view is incredible! The grounds are maintained well and are beautiful!

As with the review below, we also stayed in 403 and concur with the comments. We depart tomorrow. It is clean, well furnished, all the essential amenities and basics. Very comfortable and A++ view. Everything works just fine. Nice sand beach out front. Very well maintained unit, building, and grounds. Pool is fabulous. The location is handy for all one could want to do. Excellent service from condo management person Linda. Our first time on Maui, this building and unit. Would not hesitate to return. Some street noise from the adjacent busy road.

Room Tip: All-round excellent facility

We stayed in room 403 at Koa Lagoon for 10 days in late April. This was our fourth stay at Koa Lagoon but our first in 403. We’ve been very pleased with our prior stays and this trip was no exception. Although the building is over 30 years old, the property and grounds are very well maintained. Unit 403 was in excellent condition with new appliances, granite countertops and new tile in the bath. The unit was exceptional clean and includes a complete assortment of kitchen utensils and cookware. Both the living room and bedroom have HD flat panel TVs. Each unit has it own cable modem which provides download speeds in the 10-20 mbps range. The best place to buy food is the Safeway about 2 miles away. It’s huge with an excellent assortment of baked goods and hot meals. If you don’t have a Safeway card, ask for one, it will save you a lot of money if you plan to cook in the unit. The Long’s Drug store about a half mile from the unit is also a good place to shop but like everything in Hawaii expect to pay more. Don’t miss the road to Hana, Haleakala National Park or a sunset cruise on the Scotch Mist from Lahania.

Since we realized we could enjoy Hawai'i vacations, in 2008, we have stayed many, many times at Koa Lagoon. When I booked our stay, to celebrate our 35th anniversary, I hoped to get a different condo than the one Linda (on site rental agent for Koa Lagoon, among others) suggested, when my original choice wasn't available. I have always preferred booking through Linda, rather than the many other third party options other folks use, and I trust her opinion. I also like the assurance of her help should anything be amiss in the condo.

There were no photos of this unit on the Koa Lagoon website, and I could not find any elsewhere, so this condo was truly a present we unwrapped upon our arrival and we were not disappointed! It is beautifully decorated, from the calming, freshly painted walls, to the cool bamboo wall tile and impeccably tiled floors. I loved the furniture, but my husband did not find the living room furniture comfortable. He spent most of his time on the lanai, that had a wonderful lounge set with different sections, allowing me to set it up for our best comfort. There was also another traditional lounger and table with two chairs. The dining room chandalier is so cool that it gives off a light show when the sun is setting! We were stunned when we saw it and such a sweet touch. Views galore, but you have that anywhere at the Koa Lagoon.

All oceanfront condos and gorgeous landscaping remains, with orchids and simple flowers planted tastefully! Not a resort feel here, but a comfortable, friendly, conveniently located 42 unit condo complex. And after having stayed in at least six or so other units, we now have another sweet condo to add to our playlist.

Imagine our surprise to find out the owner is a fellow Alaskan, and it explained the extra attention paid to the lanai furniture. Us Alaskans appreciate every ounce of sunshine we can get, and whale watching from the comfortable sixth floor lanai was a dream. This was a very lazy vacation for us, and we spent a great deal of time just hanging out " at home". We are so happy we placed our trust in Linda and happily switched to the condo she suggested for us. Thanks to 606's owner for the care and attention put into making this one bedroom, one bathroom condo so comfortable right down to the high quality Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella, water toys, high end appliances and skylight! I tried to stop writing about this wonderful condo, but keep thinking of all the nice touches I remember from our stay.

To end my review, #606 does not disappoint. Always bear in mind that the Koa is not a resort complex, but a comfortable, oceanfront treasure, especially considering the prices charged! Save a lot and have money leftover for splurges!

This property is located slightly north of the busy shopping areas in Kihei, on the west side of south Kihei road and is both oceanfront and oceanview. Each unit is owned and controlled differently for rental by the owner (vrbo, Rentals Maui, etc ...) Since Koa Lagoon is north of the Kihei shopping and dining area, travelers will need a car for the short 5 minute drive to get to restaurants etc .... But, as a result, the north end of south Kihei road is much quieter. It is too far to walk for shopping and dining.

The condo complex has a private pool and outdoor BBQ area (2 in total) and has a small green space between it and the beach. There are 3 stairwells with the centre stairwell elevator. A couple of shopping carts are available to get bags of groceries from the car to your apartment. The beach isn't exactly pristine, soft white sand, but it is very nice.

The view from the large lanai is due west and you will be afforded incredible sunset views each evening. Overall, this is a nice, clean and well appointed condo unit. Your neighbours are very quiet and you won't be disappointed with the western exposure and view.

Room Tip: These units are ALL oceanview and oceanfront
