This was our first time to Maui! After some restrictions were lifted in early 2021, we were extremely impressed with the level of COVID requirements and the low rates on this island. Not only did we have to take a test at one of their approved sites mainland, it was viewed upon landing in the Maui Airport. Throughout our stay, we were asked numerous times for either the negative test or a vaccine card. We felt safe and appreciated their efforts to allow us to feel safe in Hawaii.

Upon arrival, we did not get Lai necklaces but were given them after asking. Our first room had molded tea bags, stale coffee, and you guessed it....ants !!! We have videos, however, they are too large to upload to this site.

Yeah, we asked to move. We were disappointed at how difficult it was for us to request a new room. Even when they were only 25% full!!! Why not just place everyone on an awesome room!?!?! We patronized during a pandemic but felt that we did not receive an appropriate response to our concern. The manager was less than graceful in offering to rectify the situation for patrons at our World of Hyatt level.

What was good? The view in our new room was amazing! The pools were quite empty (pandemic) and a perfect water temperature. We did not use the cabanas due to cost; nor did anyone else. The cabanas were all set up, unused for days with hotel occupants not using them. They looked nice though!

Proximity and access to the two ⛳golf courses was fantastic! We are glad we brought our clubs.

I am leaving a poor review due to the service and cleanliness. As a Hyatt hotel chain patron, we were quite disappointed.

Room tip: Once you are in, look around the coffee maker for ants before settling in.

Lovely stay for family of three week of Christmas. Hotel had nice amenities and staff was super sweet. Yes it is a busy time but we were always able to get a table for dinner, spot at the pool etc. and the complimentary beach chairs was great too. Only possible issue is noise level of hotel but we always travel with earplugs for sleeping!

Overall the hotel was what we expected; pretty busy, pretty big, etc. I HATE the automatic resort fee of $32.00 per day. Geez, arent all things included in the room charge? And if you expect a nice beach you wont get one. Very small, and when in the oceanits full of coral. The beaches north/west 15 minutes or so are much better.

people at the Hyatt are so caring, kind, loving and professional. It is not just for work it is truly who they are. The hotel is a mix of spotlessness, nature, past and present everything in 1 spot ❤️

Our family of five spent six days and nights over the Christmas holiday. Great time. Love the location, the resort was in great shape, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. One suggestion - keep the Grotto bar open later...at least long enough for a full happy hour!
