Owner description: At Wailele Polynesian Luau dinner show, guests will embark on an exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered not just as a form of entertainment, but as a means of telling stories. Recognized for providing an award-winning experience, the luau is held oceanfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and features dances and songs from old and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand (Maori), Tonga and Samoa. Highlights include the story of Pele (Goddess of Fire), Hi'ilave Hula Awana dedicated to Wailele (meaning waterfalls) and Maui's most extreme fire knife dance finale called "Siva Afi". The unforgettable evening of fun, culture and entertainment is complemented by a traditional dinner served buffer style and selection of beverages.

This show was spectacular! Absolutely stunning performance and the dancing was so beautiful. Definitely recommend if staying in Ka'anapali!

I really enjoyed this luau! I get bored pretty easily so recommend this one for entertainment. The host is really funny and best fire spinners! There is a huge buffet which was delicious and the drinks are on point. The blue one is really strong : ) Fun time for sure.

We have attended several different luau's before and I would not recommend this one.
Most of them have two main components, the pig ceremony and during the show, a story of the history and the mythology of the islands. This lacked both.
The show was definitely entertaining, but didn't have the usual story.
The food was as good as any luau has and plentiful. However, I would not go back to this one again.

The luau is small and intimate. There is interaction between the performers and audience. My husband would like to have had more upbeat drumming. The story of all the islands is nice. Even our picky 11-year old liked the food.

We paid for premium seating that allows you to get in first and sit closer to the stage. Also allows you to go to buffet first but probably not worth the extra $20/person. It was cooler at rear tables and they are all close to the stage so not that great of an upgrade.

The show was fun and lighthearted with fantastic dancing and costumes. The fire dancers were terrific and the guy climbing the tree was like a monkey.

Buffet was good but it's a buffet after all. Chicken and pork were standouts. Deserts were good. Westin food so very good but not outstanding

Staff was attentive and wanted you to have a good night. They kept the drinks coming and cleared the table promptly.

Our 10 year old son enjoyed it as much as our 80 year old grandmother. If you are seeking to experience a Hawaiian luau and are staying at Kaanapali, this is an excellent choice.
