This was suggested by someone for a good brunch and it was within walking distance from our condo. I am super thrilled that we decided to go here.
Aside from the very decent food, the feast for the eyes and conversation starters is amazing. There's so much to look at, discuss, play with and listen to. The music is awesome - mix of blues, oldies, rock, etc., while we were there mid-week.
The service was a bit slow - they seemed to be down a person or two or didn't expect to have a full house like they did.
The food was very plentiful - gf had the breakfast burrito and I had some sort of healthy option (can't recall right now - too much sun and water in the brain LoL).
Overall, this was such a great place with amazing vibe and atmosphere, I semi-proposed to my girlfriend. We are now happily engaged to be engaged thanks to Java Jazz:-)

We had a yummy breakfast here two days in a row and loved the menu, the waiter,
chef Michael, and BIG fresh baked cinnamon muffin to take home for a snack. You can get a full breakfast for seven bucks if you arrive early.
At that point, we loved the food and this place..except for the naughty /raunchy art work and profanity with a bunch of photos playing on a loop on a tv screen..please read on !
Then we went back and had dinner. because it was the only place nearby that was open past seven p.m........ The music was funny - well known songs we all know the words to - nice choices - but the singer had an interesting "style" ..Someone said he sounded like a hippy with Tourettes! Then we made the mistake of saying hello to the owner (in a biker leather shirt , with silver curly long hair) as we were leaving and he started up a political lecture about Jefferson, and Obama and a relative who had committed suicide. We tried to go past him and he kept moving in front of us, saying over and over, "Give me only two more minutes." The staff tried to give him a look that he should stop...as the restaurant was closing!. Very odd- we did not go back!

A quaint interesting place with good food and great service. Just across the street from Aston Kaanapali Shores hotel in the strip mall by the Times grocery.

This restaurant is in a little strip shopping center. We would have never discovered it except for recommendations from Trip Advisor. It was close to our condo so we were able to walk which was great when enjoying a few drinks. We loved the funky atmosphere and the service was friendly and competent. There was a soft jazz duo playing that was absolutely wonderful. This was a great place to relax after our trip on the Road to Hana. I ordered the chicken Marsala which was good. My husband's pasta and meatballs was not as good as the pasta was overlooked. Overall, we really enjoyed Java Jazz. If we had been on Maui longer we would have given it another try.
