Description: In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their Filipino neighbors with the traditional dish adobo or perhaps a pork or chicken stew. The Koreans had their kalbi or marinated ribs and the Chinese a rice noodle and vegetable dish called chow fun. Hawaiians were known for their kalua pig, roasted in an underground oven called an imu. It wasn't long before they began to share their foods with one another and the "mixed plate" was born. Aloha Mixed Plate features true "Local" traditional plate lunches with open air seating directly on the ccean. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

My pick for getting a great Hawaiian plate lunch across the street from the Lahaina Cannery Mall. Come early cause the parking lot does get filled up fast. Try the loco moco plate(2 hamburger patties with 2 eggs with gravy dmothered on white rice and macaroni salad) or the kalbi rib plate(tasty short ribs with white rice and macaroni salad). Had the famous chow funn here but found it no big deal. Stick with the lunch plates and you'll be happy happy happy! Happy Eating and I'll see you around the table when I'm in the area!

Not recommend on a rainy day upper deck is wood and can be slipper when wet. This is an out door restaurant.
Food and service is very good.

We were on our way to Lahaina and saw this outside grill. We had the noodles I can't remember the name but it was the one with the pork and egg. It was delish. Drinks and food were reasonable and the staff was friendly. We will go back one more time before we leave. We liked the outside seating and you could see the ocean as well. The waiter said at the end of the year they were going to tear it down and rebuild to a little more upscale restaurant. I think it will definitely take the character of the place away.

We love this place! Portions are big and delicious. Many choices. The servers are happy and helpful. We will make a special trip just for happy hour! The Mai Tais are delicious and very inexpensive and bottles of beer are cheap!!!

Heard about this place from employees at the hotel and decided to give it a try. Fresh fish, tasty chicken and a really nice macaroni salad made for a pleasant dinner. A great view of the ocean, and "al fresco" dining didn't hurt, either. Nothing fancy here, but who cares? Good food needs no dressing up.
