Visiting Macky's is a must if you are close to Haleiwa. The garlic shrimp and rice was the best! A jewel of the North Shore

If you like rude service, mediocre food, dirty surroundings this is your place.
Or, go up the road about 1/4 mile, to Big Wave Shrimp, I have tried them both.
Big Wave had fresh, tasty food, served with a smile. I will never eat at Macky's again.
Once was one time to many.

A mandatory stop each time we go to the North Shore. The garlic shrimp is the best! Watch for coupons in the drive guides or tourist guides. Popular stop for tour buses too. Right at the entrance to Haleiwa

The very best shrimp...just be sure what you get is already peeled. Cooked shrimp doesn't easily surrender its shell and it can be frustrating and challenging to get out of...nevermind really messy. But, YUM!
It's mauka on the west end of town .

Very good. They were out of the coconut shrimp so we got the lemon pepper and butter garlic. Butter garlic was better but the lemon pepper also really good. It was served with white rice, salad and pineapple. My only complaint is that they put the porta potties very close to the truck, so flies are everywhere. Spent $28 on two plates (each came with about 7-9 shrimp) and two sodas.
