My great-grandparents are buried here and we come to honor them every trip we make back to the islands.

The entrance to this Japanese Buddhist temple / garden is through the very pretty Valley of the Temples cemetery near Kailua. There is a $5 pp admission which may or may not be worth it to you. The temple and the grounds are pretty - very photogenic. I found it to be a pleasant short stop.

Hard to believe you are on the island of Oahu upon entering this sanctuary. Very peaceful, beautiful views. When we were there, there was an artist selling his paintings. Amazing work.

This place is beautiful! The view is amazing! Very quiet and peaceful! Lots of picture advantages. Staff was very friendly. Especially the guy at the booth entrance.

We had the pleasure of being able to come and see this temple, it was so amazing and beautiful and Surreal. Would recommend seeing this when coming to Hawaii. Definitely feels like a safe place to enjoy and reflect on who you are.
