We did a lot of research on where to stay during our visit to Oahu and Paradise Bay Resort exceeded our expectations. After spending 3 nights in the Waikiki beach area we were ready for some Hang Loose vibrations on the other side of the island. The reviews on Paradise Bay resort were helpful, but there were a few issues we had concerns about before booking. The 50% special offer we found on their website convinced us to book a water front cottage for 4 nights.
Paradise bay is the perfect opposite to those impersonal mega hotel chains we stayed at in Waikiki Beach. This is a privately owned and operated establishment. As such, we didn't expect a lot of the finer detail found at most resort class hotels.
Our one bedroom water front room was in excellent condition and it offered an awesome view of the bay. The private patio and the spectacular view made the entire stay at Paradise Bay well worth the price of admission.
The staff was friendly, the parking was tight, the stray cats weren't a problem and we definitely took advantage of all the resort's amenities. Be advised dinning options are limited so come prepared or call Papa Johns for pizza delivery. The attached photos should cover anything not covered in this review...More
