So lovely! Adorable house, cute and large room with a balcony, and easy parking with a dedicated spot at the house. Location was ideal - just minutes from Acadia and easily walkable to everything in Bar Harbor. Breakfast was lovely with sweet and savory options every day, and coffee/tea/snacks were available all day. Lastly, the staff are amazing! Sara and Brandon were super friendly and helpful and made the stay awesome (thanks again for the early AM coffee which basically saved my life for an early-morning freezing Cadillac sunrise!)

Amazing place!! Breakfast was gourmet and the daily afternoon desserts were as well. Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is perfect with a very short walk to all of the downtown shops and restaurants and the water. Service was excellent as well. We will 100% be back!!!

I stayed here with my wife for 5 nights. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We mostly dealt with Sarah and Brandon who could not have been any nicer and friendlier. The property is located a short walk from the downtown area and Acadia National Park entrance is maybe a 5 minute drive away, absolutely perfect location. So glad I stayed here.

We were looking for a more intimate setting than a hotel and the Primrose was perfect. Brandon, the innkeeper, was a wonderful source of knowledge. Helped me initially book the weekend - one of the few places (perhaps only such place?) in Bar Harbor with rooms and beds large enough to accommodate a family with adult children (we got rooms 5 and 16). Sarah, the hostess, was a ray of sunshine in the mornings for breakfast and available throughout the day as well. I didn't meet the chef but he did a wonderful job with the breakfast offerings (always one egg based such as frittata or quiche, and one sweet such as French toast or waffles). Very accommodating - I was often down before the 8am official start time for breakfast and the coffee and a pastry were ready to be served. Same with afternoon tea - often set out early and kept out throughout the remainder of the day until gone. Primrose did renovations this past year and the beds were very comfortable with great linens. We were there just before the start of the season of May 15th so the weather was cool - kept the windows open at night for some fresh air. The attention to detail was wonderful - they were planting fresh herbs in raised gardens as we were leaving, the hand soap was from a local Maine company, cloth napkins for breakfast. My only wish was to purchase one of their adorable coffee mugs but they weren't for sale.

Very relaxing neighborhood in short walking distance to the town center. Even just walking around is a joy. Wonderful room and newly renovated/spacious bathroom. Warm innkeeper welcoming us as we checked in. Also, we love the afternoon tea (actually chocolate smoothie). We fully enjoyed the stay!
