Very beautiful church to visit. Nice restrooms in the basement and beautiful stained glass. It’s your typical amazing church.

Of course, Grace Cathedral is a relatively new building (when talking cathedrals) but it is stylish and beautiful; filled with lovely art. Visitors are warmly welcomed and there is a voluntary donation box, presumably to assist with upkeep. I loved the murals which trace the story of San Francisco's development. They beautifully excecuted, huge, colourful and interesting, lining both sides of the nave. There is lovely stained glass, both traditional and modern. I was particularly entranced by the gorgeous embroidered hassocks - navy blue ground, filled with botanicals like a medieval tapestry. So look down as well as up and around.
The Cathedral is situated on a dear little park across from Top Of The Mark. So you can go from the sacred to the profane in the twinkling of an eye and finish your visit with a cocktail and a magnificent view of the city and Bay Area.
Was interested to note a huge mural across the road to my left as I exited the main doors of the Cathedral, a large bas relief mural commemorating those who were Masons and served in the war. It's on a huge MasonicTemple.
This is a very well heeled neighbourhood. All the markers are there.

Grace Cathedral is a gorgeous place to visit and it will not take long for you enjoy the beauty of this historical keepsake. The stained glass windows are extraordinary and the structure is reminiscent of the cathedrals you would find in Europe. If you are visiting Nob Hill, take a moment to walk through the Cathedral as you will not be disappointed and it will only take a small amount of time to enjoy this beautiful, awe-inspiring structure.

We really enjoyed this spectacular church with all the art on the walls. Also, right across the street is a very nice park with several fountains and the day we were there, the park was crowded. It was definitely where the neighborhood congregated.

The church is beautiful, the stained glass and murals are quite extensive. We had the wonderful luck to be there when one of the 3 organs was being played, and the sound is simply uplifting and wonderful.

The carillon played extensively one night, that was also fabulous.

People looked at the maze on the floor inside and outside, but no one took the time to do it while we were there, pretty neat inclusion to the church though.
