GENERAL
We been to San Francisco many times, as it is one of our favorite cities, so stayed 7-nights over spring break with family, in a 2-bedroom timeshare condo exchanged through Interval International.

LOCATION and PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The condo is in the perfect location, one block from Ghirardelli Square. About a 5-minute walk to the Wharf area and 10-minute walk to Pier 39. Public transportation is so convenient—the Powell-Hyde cable car and MUNI buses both have stops literally right outside the front door! Grocery store (Safeway and Trader Joes) are 5 blocks away. Get yourself a MUNI pass (1, 3, 7 day) which will let you get around the city; note it does not cover BART, which is the train to/from SFO. We picked up our 7-day pass ($42 each) at information booth in baggage claim. Don’t forget to also pick up a $3 MUNI map with bus/cable car routes.

PARKING
We rented a car so we could visit family in Sacramento and took a couple of other day trips during our stay. There is limited parking (about 15 spots for 25 condos). Parking is $22 a day. If you are lucky (like us), once you get your spot, you have it the rest of your stay. If not, supposedly you can park in a nearby (more expensive) public lot temporarily until a spot opens later during your stay. If are not planning to leave the city, DON’T bother with a car; you’ll just pay a lot for parking.

LIKES
* Renovated, good-size condo, especially for SF. Very clean.
* Beds: 1 king-size, 1 queen-size, large sofa bed.
* Roof-top terrace with gorgeous unobstructed view of the bay and Alcatraz
* 2 washers & dryers near lobby ($1.50 each), though 1 dryer was broken
* Large in-room safe
* Kitchen: 2-burner, fridge, toaster, microwave, blender, dishwasher, dishes and utensils

NEUTRAL
* Older building so doors, cabinet and floors creaked
* Small, simple lobby. Small business center (computer, printer)
* No traditional oven—microwave is also a convection oven
* No A/C, although did not need it in April
* Minor sales pitch for their timeshare, which we declined with no further pressure

DISLIKES
* Quite noisy (NOT condo’s fault) because you are next to cable line!
* Quite dark in living room
* Beds not very comfortable
* Bath tub clogged; told front desk but was not fixed
* Large master bedroom closet but none in 2nd bedroom and no drawers for clothes
* Free Wi-Fi very slow (<1 Mps). Can pay for faster Wi-Fi ($50 for the week)

SUMMARY
Can’t beat location especially with a large accommodation

Room Tip: upper floor, facing the bay

I stayed here for three nights while visiting San Francisco with friends. We had a total of two rooms for 8 people which might sound a little small but it worked out great because the living area is quite spacious. We loved the rooftop terrace and had drinks and appetizers up there with a fantastic view of the bay and Alcatraz. It is just two short block up from the wharf area and one block from Ghirardelli and the cable car station. The rooms were clean and nicely soundproof for a great night's sleep! The reception staff is friendly and helpful and had no problems splitting our bills for our group. I would definitely stay here again, it is quite a find!

Stayed at the Suites at Fisherman's Wharf March 2017 while visiting the Bay area. Room was clean, spacious and ours had a balcony where we could enjoy our morning coffee. The beds where very comfortable and the staff was wonderful. The best part of this hotel was is proximity to everything including Wharf, trolley, Ghirardelli Square etc.

Stayed for 5 days with my son and husband. Upon arriving they offered us champagne, staff was super friendly. Room was super clean and BIG! We stayed in room 200, it had its own balcony that you could see alcatraz from. The rooftop you can see a lot of the city and bay. It was amazing. Beds were comfy, had a ceiling fan in bedroom. Stove full size fridge (we only used for drinks bc we ate out every meal), plenty of dishes and pots, pans, etc if you want to cook. One block from Ghiradelli square, within walking distance to Fishermans Wharf, all public transportation stops right in front of hotel. Very safe! We parked one night (rented a car one night to drive to San Jose) was 20.00. Staff is incredible, the ladies that cleaned the room were incredible. We also used the washer and dryer and front desk will give you laundry detergent. We will always stay here when we come back. If you are up in the air for a family trip choose to stay here over Union Square. This place is a gem!!! Cannot say enough things about how great this place is!!

We were in San Francisco for three nights, so we appreciated the spaciousness of our suite. The living room was large and comfortable, with a nice kitchen attached. The kitchen contained a small stove, full sized fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. The included pans and dishes were of good quality, and the kitchen was spotless. And there was a 12 cup coffee pot and really good coffee to brew.
The bedroom contained a comfy bed and lots of storage space. The bathroom had been recently renovated and was clean and efficiently laid out. The suite was very quiet-- we heard no noise over the three nights we were there.
We had no view from our room, but the hotel has a lovely roof deck with nice views of the water and Alcatraz. The hotel is conveniently located near Fisherman's Wharf. We walked a lot and took conveniently located busses, and the Trolly is only a block away.
We will definitely stay at this hotel again if we are fortunate enough to have a chance to return to San Francisco.
