The room space was adequate for a 1 bedroom suite. However, the walls were paper thin, floors squeaked when upstairs neighbors walked, and bathroom was very small. Parking garage had inadequate space and was overfilled making it difficult to get into and out of. Having just stayed in a Wyndham Shell location in Napa, this Wyndham Shell location was not up to the same standards. However, the room was clean and the staff was very friendly, which goes a long way toward making a pleasant visit.

We booked 5 months in advance and received confirmation. One week before we fly out we receive an email: 'Unfortunately, we don't have anything available on your requested dates, but we will notify you as soon as there is an opening'. No explanation and didn't even have the decency to address us or sign off the email.

Stayed here for four nights great location easy to walk to nice restaurants and bars. Cable car and bus stop both right outside. Suite large and comfortable and very quiet. Has laundry facilities at a great rate and hotel staff helpful with sorting out taxis and giving directions.

Stayed for 3 days-2nd floor with balcony. It was perfect for us-2 parents, 1 teen. Had a parking space for our car and did not charge $50-60 like other hotels-$20. Rooms really big. Not super new but clean and kept well. Had no noise issue (as others have reported-thinking avoid the first floor where people might be outside your room in atrium area). Rooftop area is wonderful for views!! Everybody helpful, friendly. Enjoyed out visit very much. They did try to get us to go to breakfast and hear pitch on buying timeshare for Shell Vacation Co. We said not interested and that was the end of it-no high pressure. Close to everything-cable car outside door. Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square. Son and I walked up to Lombard St and walked down it-About 3 blocks away.

Room Tip: Avoid 1st floor-busy street outside, atrium inside. Second floor with balcony had view of bay, no noise.

My family of 5 stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom unit. It was absolutely perfect for us. In a safe location and close to everything in fisherman’s wharf. Cable and street cars were within a short walk and there’s a bus stop in front of the building. The rooftop patio was closed for maintenance but we wouldn’t have spend any time up there anyway, as it was raining most of the time we were in SF. The cable car runs up and down Hyde so if you’re a light sleeper you might have trouble with that.
