Bread tours, animal bread, great lunch, fun gift shop, divine treats! Try the amazing lemon bar, the bear claw, the almond croissant, the clam chowder and the chicken salad sandwich. Service isn't great, but it's passable. You can buy specialty chocolate and chukar cherries! So, so good--wish we could bottle the smells. The restroom outside is gross, so try to avoid it. The patio outside is pleasant and often you can hear live music. Love this place.

Every time somebody mentions clam chowder, this place comes to mind. I had a wonderful experience the first time I ate in this place. We traveled to Seattle and along the way ate chowder in places that serves the dish. Sad to say, it’s not the best anymore compared to others we tried.

Can't miss out their chowder and visited their museum to see how their bread are made. Great view to see Alcatraz.

Had a party of 10 for a final meal before leaving San Francisco the place was busy, but could take our party, service was slow and the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. Food was average and not cheap, bit of a disappoint end to our time in the City.

Would I go again - probably not - there are many places to eat and this is one of those that stands out on the front near Fisherman's Wharf.

My tip would be go and find a better place to eat.

They have a special container you can take on the plane as a carry on. Bread comes in different fun shapes. There are also bread demos at the windows that are fun to watch.
