Visited tonight for dinner.
Restaurant was fairly quiet so no problem getting a table.

Service was a little abrupt and not very helpful when asking for recommendations.

Food came quickly and was all huge portions. Shared 3 dishes between 2 of us and we couldn’t finish everything. Tasty with plenty of choice.

Overall can’t complain for how much we paid but not the friendliest of places.

OVERALL: Woo Wonton Noodle Soup soup has a good body and depth. What would make this an ideal representation of the dish is al dente noodles. Hoping they make this slight adjustment and they'll have a star/stand out dish.

AMBIANCE (@ lunch): Typical Chinatown well attended and worn restaurant. Tea and menus offered at seating. If the tables for 4 are occupied, you will be sharing a table for 10 with others. This is the traditional Hong Kong style seating arrangement.

FOOD: Saw a lot of Chinese BBQ on the tables like Peking duck and roast chicken. They also have ABC dishes like tomato beef over rice. Will try other dishes the next time I'm there.

TIPS & TRICKS:
1) EMBRACE THE ATMOSPHERE: The decor is worn but that is due to the high volume of dinners each day. Enjoy the food and that you are in the heart of Chinatown eating a place the locals eat at.
2) BY FOOT OR TAXI: There is no parking in Chinatown. Enjoy the stroll through the bustling streets of Chinatown as you make your way to the restaurant.

The food was OK. I ordered the lunch combo. It was typical sweet and sour pork with the heavy, sweet and sour sauce, lo mein, a chicken leg and some vegetables. I also tried a potsticker, which was sent with a thin red sauce that tasted like someone added too much vinegar. The pot sticker was very doughy, inside and out. The fried chicken leg was a typical chicken leg, the lo mein was tasty, the vegetables were OK, but I did not eat the lotus or black mushrooms, simply because I wasn't sure what to expect. My son ordered the fried pidgeon and that's what he got...a fried pidgeon and nothing else. No rice, no veggie, just a fried pidgeon (see pic). Of course walking through San Francisco after lunch, all we could do was make fried pidgeon jokes!
As a group our major complaint was when the waiter looked in my husband's open wallet while he was getting his cash out (this place is cash only) and pointed into his wallet and demanded a $5.00 tip. We always tip well when the server earns it. The thing is, the guy that demanded the money was not our waiter. Very shady practice!

This is a typical Chinese restaurant, in that most of the clients are local Chinese. The deli has roast duck, roast pig, bbq pork, etc. The duck , though, is the star of the show. The restaurant is also good , if you want something that is typical Chinatown.

We were going to hit one of the big well known places in China town but an older gentlemen said oh no oh no. We wanted a place where the locals eat. And off he took us to Yee's. Great food and really reasonable prices. Great selection of all the traditional Chinese dishes. A bowl of wonton soup is large enough to be shared by 2 or 3 people. And the duck was amazing.
