Came here for quick dinner on our 1st night in SF. We were lucky to get a table downstairs. Always best to get table before you get food unless you’re cool to eat in the street (lots of places to sit by the water though). You line up to order food, no table service. But it’s a fast well oiled operation.

We got the clam chowder in bread bowl. The sourdough was so good and fresh. Highlight of meal. Clam chowder was good. Unsure if it’s actually a good eg of clam chowder or not but I liked it. Kids had pepperoni pizza which was surprisingly good.

I’ve also had a few coffees here which are ok & drinkable (Starbucks lvl).

We stopped in for a drink after having taken a bay cruise and were greeted warmly by the manager who brought us to the boudin museum and then offered us a seat in the lounge and advised us of the happy hour. The bar staff was very accommodating and attentive and served us happy hour drinks and appetizers. We then moved onto the dining room and were waited on immediately and a delicious chicken dinner was prepared quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant and would certainly frequent it if we lived in the area.

I try to go to this restaurant every time I visit San Fransisco for dinner. It has the most amazing views of the bay and Alcatraz. The sough dough chowder bowls are to die for and make a perfect start or main. The fish dishes are excellent. amazing food, atmosphere, staff and location.

We stopped to grab a quick dinner before heading to our hotel near the airport. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from the bartender. We ordered oysters to share, we each had our own cup of clam chowder, and then shared the seafood paella. The oysters were good, the clam chowder was excellent, and the paella was good. If we were to do it again, I would just order two big clam chowders in the sourdough bread bowl. You cannot go wrong with that!!

Very nice restaurant, if you are in SF, you have to go there, the Clam Chowder is to die for, you have two restaurants, The Bistro, more elegant type of dinning, and for people o the go, you have the Cafe downstairs, where you order, and wait for a table to be able to sit. Either one is wort the wait!!!! They also have a bread museum where you can kill time while you wait for your table at the restaurant.
