I very much recommend Le P’tit Laurent. I ate the lamb shank. The lamb was juicy and tasted excellent. The green beans were tasty but some of them were too chewy.

The waitress was attentive and very helpful. They have a bar for drinks and for eating.

It opens at 5:30 and gets crowded on weekend by about 6:00. I recommend making reservation.

On street meter parking only, which accepts coins and credit cards.

A very cozy neighborhood Fench restaurant with Parisian accent located around the Bernal Heights neighborhood. We went for a late 8pm dinner on a Saturday evening and the place was still buzzing.
Many of the front-line workers spoke French. The menu was definitely French with entrees which included rabbit, duck leg, steamed mussels, beef bourguignon, lamb shank. There's a full bar area that was fully utilized. The dining experience was enjoyable.

This restaurant remains the same as I remember it from years ago, high energy and very good food. That said, the noise level was so high it was hard to hear friends seated across the table and one seat away. I had the Lamb Special which was very good, and soup of the day was excellent. I was with friends, and three deserts were ordered. The pear tarte was overly sweet and looked nothing like what I expected, but rather like a heavy lump of bread covered in caramel sauce. The Baked Alaska also disappointed.
I think the noise level and crowded nature of this restaurant make is less pleasurable than I remembered it from years ago.

This is a great neighborhood French bistro that serves a great meal at very good prices. At the moment, there is a tax season special (expiring after April 27) serving a salad or escargot and and entree(select list from regular menu) for a bargain price of $20.17 (as in the year 2017).

After this date, they will return to a neighborhood special of $28 which will include a dessert.

My wife ordered the lamb shank that was fall off the bone tender and a simp,e house salad while my son had the skirt steak dinner with pomme frites and the French onion soup. Steak was cooked medium rare as requested and the frites were sliced thin and nice and crispy.

I had the tax season special and the 6 escargots were good and cooked with enuff garlic. The ossco buco came in a regular sized portion with a nice wine reduction sauce and cooked so the meat was very tender. We shared a hot pear tart that was topped with ice cream which was a perfect end to our meal. Parking is challenging so be patient but service was excellent and worth the trip.

Authentic French. Small, quaint decor. Friendly chef owner. Fairly priced, particularly the specials. The service was friendly although not efficient. We had several errors. This is not the norm as I have dined here several times prior and had excellent service. The food is delicious. The beef short ribs and the beef bourgeoisie were wonderful. It is a small neighborhood restaurant that can feel cramped and quite busy.
