We arrived early from the East Coast - and they had a room available for us before noon. Fantastic! Still, it was a little odd to have the woman at the front desk say "we can't do anything for you; no breakfast, no bar" with regard to the construction going on. We get the construction, but the blunt "we can't do anything for you" was very odd.

The room was fine. Kind of an industrial look. 4 stars is more for the location than the hotel itself.

The location was excellent. Within 15 minutes or less to Lombard Street, Ghiardelli Square, Fishermans Wharf and Alcatraz Landing. Slightly longer walk to Chinatown.

Room tip: Supposedly there is a "quiet side" of the hotel (which costs more than the street side).

It was my birthday weekend and I put alot of thought into where to stay. It was between three hotels. 2620 being one of them. Unfortunately, picked another hotel in the financial district by the name of Hilton. Worst experience, paid 300 more, placed in a tiny dirty room w one bed when I picked premium two bed w a view. Called 2620 right away and was told they had room for me and a friend of mine w two beds. This room had an industrial eclectic look. Clean, updated and spacious at the wharf walking distance to the water and resteraunts. 2620 made my stay great! Friendly staff! I had an incident where maintenance and housekeeping came to my room upon making a call in a matter of minutes. Nora was so kind and accommodating! She went above and beyond changing my bedding and pretty much tucking me in. She could have just dropped off new bedding. When maintenance and housekeeping left, the front desk called to make sure everything was ok. Nice to know that you are valued as a customer. I have been at boutique tiny hotels, paid more and tried the huge chains in San Fran, hands down this is the best value , largest and nicest room,great location, and best experience yet. Thank you 2620 for fixing other hotel's mistakes!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and modern, and it a fantastic location.
This hotel has been one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I will definitely go back again!

Can’t fault this place. Everything from check in to check out was fantastic. You do hear the rooms above you when it comes to them walking around but we had a room away from the street so noise was at a minimum. If you’re looking for a hotel close to the Wharf and easily reached from the airport or from an Uber then this is your place.

Rooms weren’t clean couches stained I wouldn’t even sit on it, mirrors were dirty. Hotel is loud can hear through the walls all doors slammed and can be heard up and down the hallways. Decor was updated but definitely not worth the money.
