Recently spent 4 nights in the Hotel Vertigo, the desk staff were very friendly and did all they could to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms were old but had been well cared for and had been renovated where necessary. The beds were very comfortable which was very much appreciated after a 13 hour flight. The hotel had free wireless internet which was handy to catch up with friends. The hotel is located reasonably close to Tenderloin so, if you enjoy walking, be watchful of this area of San Francisco especially at night. Would definately stay there again if in San Francisco.
