The Vertigo Hotel is one of the more interesting hotels I have stayed in.Fun fact, the movie Vertigo plays continually in the lobby. The queen bedroom was adequate, with an interesting "Vertigo Chair".The recently remodeled room was clean, bed was comfortable. The bathroom is big but strange. There is a pedestal sink so small it wasn't possible to leave a toothbrush on the edge. There were glass shelves inconveniently placed for toiletries. There are no vending machines. The mini fridge was stocked with overpriced beverages. There was a tray of overpriced snacks.
The only major complaint is that there was no cell phone reception in the room which faced a brick wall.
Overall I would recommend the Vertigo Hotel. The hotel is walking distance to Union Square, and downtown.More
