While in San frisco you have to stop and have a bowl of soup in a sour dough bowl! Nice tour of how they make it is self guided,

Thank George J

The wonderful smell draws you to Boudins. Our initial experience was poor as the servers were very busy and clearly harassed and despite my partner's clear request for what he wanted what turned up, after a very long wait, was not what he had asked for. We asked to speak to the manager who dealt with the situation quickly and professionally. A delightful man he made my partners order himself and delivered it to the table with a profuse apology. Both our dishes were delicious and the bread is to die for!

you have to visit here if you love bread. You can view the bread being made through the window onto the pavement, then buy it in the shop. I bought a sourdough teddy which was soon ripped to pieces once it arrived back at our RV...wonderful tasting sourdough. You can eat here though we only had coffee, and watch fresh supplies of bread whizzing overhead between the bakery and the shop which also sells foods and related cooking stuff. Close to Pier 39.

We had dinner there over labor day weekend. It was very good. I started with the oysters, they were cold and very fresh, I really enjoyed them! The sourdough Margarita pizza was great, its made with sourdough of course, The chicken club sandwich was a good size and had large chunks of chicken on it. They have a museum and a free bakery tour upstairs, just before the entrance to the restaurant.

Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
