I visited Bayfield to go on a dog sledding adventure. The Bayfield Inn was great! I stayed in the Isaac Wing House, because it was pet friendly. The place was very nice, I love anything Victorian! The only con about this place was that my room was upstairs. The stairs are very narrow, as they were back then. But when you are traveling with a dog, you are going to have extra things that you take with you. I had to make several trips up and down the stairs. If they offered a concierge service to help with the bags, that would make this place perfect. I was also trying to be as quiet as I could going up and down those stairs, as to not bother other guests. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place. It was very beautiful!

Very clean comfortable room right in the heart of Bayfield. Everything was within walking distance. Parked the car in the reserved lot and except for a day trip to the north shore sea caves we stayed put in this charming town. The hotel restaurant was exceptional and we enjoyed amazing, and very filling, breakfast - with the provided hotel discount it was a very good deal. Dinner too was exceptional and the view was to die for. The only issue we experienced was the wifi was slow to almost non-existent, possibly due to our room being the furthest from the office/lobby.

We stayed at the Inn Oct 13-16 2017 and the Inn was 100% as advertised both in discriptions and pics. While we were able to snag the last accommodation available at the Inn, they also have B&B type properties in Bayfield that we heard good things about. The staff is friendly and very professional. The only very small snag was they shifted to fall season hours in the middle of the weekend which meant the dining room was not avaible Sunday but there were enough restaurants in the town open to not be a problem. We did find it odd that we were not told of the change when we checked in on Friday and given 2 drink coupons which had to be used in the dining room. We lost out on the drinks and, when we asked, we were just told that the fall season started Sunday (which was posted on the entrance Saturday night). Seemed like the staff should have known in advance though seemed to infer that even they didn't know until the posting was made.

Room Tip: Amazing upper Deck/Patio view of the Bay!

We decided to drive to Bayfield for a weekend - beautiful area, by the way. We had no plans, no reservations, we were just going with the flow. When we arrived we walked around town and stopped for lunch at the Bayfield Inn rooftop bar. This is highly recommended. We stopped at the front desk after lunch to see what was available and they mentioned thier Garden Guest House across the street. It was relatively inexpensive and looked interesting. As their website says, "For guests seeking a more home-like experience, we offer suites, complete with kitchenettes, at the Garden Guest House across the street from the Bayfield Inn." Of course, how much time do you really spend in your hotel room? We had a wonderful stay in Bayfield and the Bayfield Inn.

Had lunch and drinks. Food was good. Wife had the blt and a bowl of clam chowder. I had the bacon cheeseburger. . Beautiful view of the lake from the dining room. Great atmosphere. Prices were on the high end for what we had.
