Owner description: Rock Climbing & Canyoneering Adventures for beginners and experienced climbers alike. Fun for young children and adults. Most of our adventures require no previous experience to enjoy! Canyoneering uses specialized equipment and techniques, including rappelling, to negotiate wet and dry canyons of varying difficulties. All trips have an important educational component to promote a deeper appreciation for our natural landscape. We are Moab’s oldest and most experienced climbing and canyoneering guide service. Half, full, and multi-day trips. Visit our website for more information on all our rock climbing and canyoneering adventures. Check us out on Facebook to see more photos of our adventures!

When I look over the reviews and see the average is well beyond excellent I wonder to myself what I can add? We also had an excellent outing with Cliffs and Canyons. The operation is well run, the trip was well planned and our guide Heidi was and is a fabulous representative of the company and of the area. We are a couple of East Coast climbers who were looking to do our first multi pitch and have an opportunity to climb a desert tower. Ancient Art was a great trip for us. Heidi, as previously mentioned was fabulous and instilled confidence and fun on our climb. I can't recommend this operation enough. Great time.

Today our family (two adults, two kids age 11 and 14) did a rockaneering adventure. We had actually done the family rockaneering tour with MC&C four years ago and really enjoyed it. We wanted to do another half-day rockaneering tour in a different area, and they accommodated our request by taking us on an abbreviated tour of 300 BC. Our guide, Chris, was fantastic, very calm and really focused on safety. My husband is pretty afraid of rappelling, and Chris talked him through a pretty difficult rappel. He also went out of his way to take our kids on an extra climb that honestly made their whole trip. It was so clear how focused he was on making sure we got a great adventure. I can't recommend this business highly enough!

My husband and daughter and friends met up with our guide, Joe, for a day of canyoneering. The scenery was outstanding and the amount of hiking and repelling perfect. Joe has a graduate degree in geology and was most informative on the formations we climbed. The temperatures were in the 30's but we made the best of dropping into pools of ice-encrusted water during our descent. Our new definition of calf deep (water) actually means chest deep!! We enjoyed the entire adventure and really recommend this Outfitter.

I have been to Moab tons of times biking and hiking but this was the first time to go canyoneering- This was so fun I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to get started with rappelling and canyoneering- The guide was great and set a pace that everyone was ok withl- felt very safe and learned about the area and the geology.
