Judging from the concrete block exterior, this place was potentially disappointing. However, our room was spacious, with two queen beds. It also had a full size refrigerator, (great touch!) microwave, and a real coffee pot (not one of those stupid little single serve things). The coffee pot was a four cup which suited us just fine. There was also a sink and cabinets with coffee cups, plates and drawers with silverware. This was totally unexpected and appreciated! We decided to go to a local market and find food that we could prepare in our room. This was great because we were getting tired of restaurant food after five days on the road. All in all, this place suited our needs just fine and gave us some options we hadn't thought of. The couple drawbacks were the lack of a flat screen TV and the fact our room was over the laundry room which made our room a bit noisy.

Room Tip: Don't get the room over the laundry area!

Selected the property for our group motorcycle trip, 11 riders, for the secure parking lot and proximity to Main st. Friendly staff put us all in one building so we had a great time. The rooms are huge with a fridge, microwave coffee maker-great for an extended stay! Pool was closed due to "weather". Enjoy your stay and the beautiful parks of Utah.

The room we stayed in was a bit shabby. The carpet was ripped and in desperate need of cleaning. Despite being a relatively large room, there is very little seating and the chair was broken. There were 4 plates, 2 bowls, 3 forks, 2 knives, etc. I don't think things get replaced when guest walk off with or break the kitchen items. The lighting was too poor to read by and the room would heat up if we opened the curtains. We had to use our flashlight to find things in the closet. You could hear everything going on in the bathroom thanks to a large gap under the door, and can hear the neighbors perfectly once you are in there. It was a pain carrying everything up the flight of stairs, and parking was tight most of the time we were there.

On the plus side, the pool was larger than we thought, the fridge was apartment sized and was not noisy, and the beds were ok to sleep in. We had our doubts when we pulled up and saw it was in a residential area and right across the street from a pawn shop, but it turned out to be a nice, quiet area away from all the traffic. The two people we dealt with at the front desk were great. One was very patient with us during check in. He had to keep repeating himself because I was too tired to function at the time and my husband was busy parking the car. Another employee gave my husband all kinds of advice on where to eat, what to see, how to get there, etc. Our entire group appreciated her suggestion to go back to the Arches to see the stars at night, and taking an alternative route to Colorado.

If you don't need a microwave and fridge, there are cheaper and/or newer places to stay in Moab. If you are a first timer and need a bit of hand-holding regarding directions and activities, I would recommend staying here. I would have rated this 2 or 3 stars at most, but the employees make this place worth staying at.

Friendly and efficient staff.
Good location, just a block from the main street.
Clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable room.
Good internet speed.

The reception is 24 hours shall not. Attention should be paid to the arrival time.
There was an envelope in the room left by the cleaning staff to the guest contribute a tip. I kind of embarrassing.

I would be in it again.

We stayed at the Rustic Inn for one Saturday night because it was the only place in Moab that had rooms left. It wasn't a bad choice. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room is equipped with a fridge, microwave , and set up for eating in the room and would be a good place to stay long term. Only weird thing is that the kitchen sink doubles as the bathroom sink. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would consider staying here again if we come back on a budget.
