Our latest meal here was not a success. The atmosphere was still pleasant, and the staff, if a bit pushy, were still lightning-quick and friendly.. The bread was also good. The only problem was that the entrees weren't, or at best, were uneven. My wife was generally happy with her prime rib (maybe they should rebrand as serving "American" fare), but my sausage/shrimp pasta dish was simply poor, tasteless and lacking in spice with an excessively watery sauce. Possibly they tried to make up in quantity for what they lacked in quality -- both plates were HUGE and we took much food home (where I will fix up the pasta with some of my wife's Italian spices) -- but it doesn't work that way. Some "repairs" to the kitchen are needed here.

I rated this restaurant terrible because my poor husband, who is never sick, was up half the night very ill with food poisoning from the Cioppino Pasta dish he had here. No one else in our party of 4 adults and 2 children became sick but the food was average at best - even when it did not make you sick. We were visiting our daughter and her family who recently moved to Los Alamos and we wanted to take them out for a nice dinner. This was not it! All of the food for 6 arrived tepid even though they weren't very busy on a Saturday night. Service was slow too. We all agreed, we won't be back!

The staff was nice, but very slow and the place was not full. We waited a long time to be seated. It then took a very long time to get our food. The soup came out cold and had to be sent back, which also took a long time, not sure why it took so long to heat soup. The table next to us was complaining to the waitress about how long the food was taking as well. When our food finally arrived is was ok, but nothing to write home about.

Owner Renee Lee & Chef Sergio create beautiful and creative dishes with flare. We were truly impressed with the preparation, flavor and inventiveness of his creations. We highly recommend Pasta Paradiso.

We visited during the week and we were treated at noon to an outstanding Italian Buffet. The soup and salad bar was exceptional and the fresh house made pasta melted in your mouth. The entres included all the Italian regulars with many additions. They also had pizza. We would definitely return if back in the area. The staff was very pleasant and attentive.
