On a cool evening, bring a cooler or buy an adult beverage at the show. If you love live performance under the stars, this is a great time.

Bring some cash as they will "pass a hat" during intermission.

Also, arrive early to sit close to the stage...although there is plenty of lightning there is no electronic amplification of sound.

My husband and I (and frequently local friends or guests) love to go to see what the Montford Park Players are presenting. It is always an entertaining, enjoyable evening. We bring our lawn chairs (though others sometimes just throw down a blanket, and others spring for a $2.00 Adirondack chair rental). Sometimes we bring dinner or a snack, our own bottle of wine, or purchase wine there. Yummy chocolate is also available. The plays are terrific, sometimes there are moments when an actor turns away & we can't hear everything perfectly, (no Mike system), but overall, it's pretty wonderful! Families, and dogs are welcome. Definitely worth your time!

I had been to Montford about a yr ago and enjoyed the show. Recently they hosted international dancers from Folkmoot. It was an incredible evening! And the venue has been updated with new staging down front. Going back this weekend for 6pm youth performance of Montford Moppets.

Don't miss a chance to see a free Shakespeare play. Outdoors with beer and snacks. A perfect venue. Bring your own cooler and picnic to save money. Don't forget chairs.

Fantastic production of Much Ado About Nothing! Alex McDonald and Devyn Ray were absolutely delightful in their roles and had fantastic chemistry onstage! Dwight Chiles was also hilarious in the role of Dogberry! Fantastic casting all around. Overall, a wonderful evening! Everyone should see the MPP in Asheville at least once!
