We have stayed here twice and will definitely stay again. The staff is not only professional but friendly, gracious, and helpful. What a charming place and close to all the shopping and eating downtown. Also just a few miles from the Biltmore. This was the first major outing I took since covid started and as a cancer patient, I can say with confidence I felt very safe staying here and can highly recommend it. The food is excellent! Make sure you eat breakfast at the hotel! With the charm and age of the hotel come creaky floors, but they are not obnoxious. The hotel staff graciously asks that guests be especially quiet during the late evening and early morning hours. We actually didn't hear people like we have at other hotels. It was probably quieter here than at other places we have stayed.

We love the Princess Anne and stay here every time we get a chance to come over the mountain for a weekend get away. We have stayed here for several years now and have fallen in love with the character and charm of this historic hotel. With Covid, the staff has gone above and beyond to provide the same great experience from the appointed breakfast times (wonderful food and even better selections!), to the wine and charcuterie board in the rooms, to the fresh baked goods available 24/7. All Covid protocals were being followed and staff is very attentive to your needs. We look forward to planning our next trip later this year!

Even in a pandemic, The Princess Anne Hotel is spectacular! Procedures for safety are excellent and enforced! Wise changes for everyone: evening cocktails and appetizers are perfect and offered in the safety and comfort of your room; breakfast times for this delectable start to the day must be pre-booked to allow wide spaces between diners. Masks must be worn at all times when not actively eating/drinking at your table or in your room. Hospitality is always gracious and we love this hotel!

Room tip: All the rooms we have stayed in are lovely but we quite like the superior queen with the kitchenette for more flexibility and space.

I stayed in the Princess Ann while my husband was in the hospital and it was perfect. Check in was safe (this was during the pandemic), my room was warm and peaceful (it reminded of my grandmother's Victorian home), and the breakfast was really outstanding. And, there were delicious cookies in the lobby all safely wrapped in their own bags.

And the staff were helpful in extending my stay at the last minute.

This is the perfect place to stay during a pandemic because they handle things well with little to no contact necessary.

I will stay at the Princess Anne again if in Asheville.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic! They were quick to respond to my emails and offered me an excellent military discount alongside extra amenities for staying 3+ nights. The hotel was romantic and comfortable and clean. The breakfast was different each morning and absolutely incredible! The customer service was very personable and made the stay easy and comfortable. Jenni is so helpful and caring and the wait staff at breakfast is kind and helpful. This hotel is so close to everything you want to do. We rarely drove more then 10 minutes away. Can’t wait to come back in the summer!
