We just searched Google for Boston hotels and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The Onyx Hotel has a wonderful location, very close to TD Gardens, Freedom Trail locations, North End/Little Italy. There are several great restaurants and pubs within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. We were able to get to the subway in no time when we wanted to go to locations farther out. The staff was kind and informative and gave us excellent suggestions for things to do. We will definitely stay here when we come back again.

The hotel wasn't perfect...but the staff more than made up for it. The rooms were a bit small (to be expected in this Boston location) & the iron didn't work, but nothing more than that. The wine at night was nice.

The location made exploring Quincey Market and the North End a breeze. Considering a return trip soon.

Room Tip: We were by the elevator but had no problems with noise.

Do not stay here. The hotel is inexpensive for the area until you factor in the fact that they charge hotel tax twice. I had reserved the room on my credit card paid for it in full taxes included. My wife checked in and used her card for any incidentals. When we got the bill she and I were both charged for the taxes and they also added a charge for the mini bar which was never touched. We talked to them about removing the charges they said they would and never did. It could be a mistake that we were double charged for taxes but the added mini bar charge is too much.

Hi, I'm so sorry about the issue with billing and that it was not corrected. This is not typical of our services. If you'd like to, please reach out and I can assure that it is corrected. Best wishes and thank you for the feedback.

This is a great hotel with a great location for anything around North Station. The hotel is nice, the staff are very friendly and you are steps from North Station. The rooms are nice but a little small.

The staff...is okay. They don't care as much as they should, but their GM greatly makes up for it. Which is why not a full 5 stars.

However,
The rooms are small/cozy BUT large enough that you can move around when needed and have all necessary amenities.Location is ultra convenient.

Traveler tip: DO NOT USE VALET. It's 47 bucks and they park in the big lot a block down from the hotel once their own parking lot fills up..

Room Tip: Rooms facing street are not loud if you close all curtains
