Ask for a harbor facing room. The views are spectacular. I was in town for just a single night for a business meeting and wish I could have stayed and gazed out the window longer. Top rate hotel and convenient to everywhere I needed to be.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a harbor view

This is a quality hotel in a amazing location with wonderful views over Boston.
The location may be a little strange if your staying at this place for visiting the city but it has water taxis available which cost $10 per person each way or the hotel courtesy bus will drop you at the tube station which then costs $2.25 per person each way. Either way it's just a small price to have to pay for the quality that you get at the hotel.
The staff, particularly the concierge were real helpful
We would certainly stay here again.

If you book the harbor facing room, the view of Boston skyline is great. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel is very close to the airport, but there are not many markets / restaurants nearby. Most places to visit in Boston around 7-8 miles away.

Thank you for sharing here on Tripadvisor. We appreciate your kind feedback and hope that on your next visit our concierge may assist in guiding you to the many options available close to the hotel. The North Shore is full of amazing experiences and our proximity to downtown and the all the attractions on both sides of the harbor make us the ideal launchpad for anyone looking to experience all of the Boston area! The Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor is one of the nicer airport hotels you can find. Room was pretty clean and recently renovated. Great views from the rooms and the lobby. I had a few mixups (e.g. double-charged for the room), but when I caught them the staff was eager to help.

My main complaint is that it's an airport hotel that's not all that close to the airport. The shuttle takes about 20 minutes to pick you up at the airport, and they tell you to leave 20 minutes on the other end for the shuttle to arrive.

If you (like me) are looking for an airport hotel to cut down on the time it takes you to get to the airport, 20 minutes is a long time! For 20 minutes, you can stay at one of the downtown Boston hotels and uber/taxi to the airport.

So stay here if you want a free airport shuttle, but otherwise the right comparison is to all the downtown Boston hotels, not just the Boston airport hotels.

Dear Andrew R,

Thank you for providing valuable feedback here on Tripadvisor. Traffic at the airport impacts our shuttle times tremendously. We can not control how much time it takes each guest to load onto the shuttle and despite our best efforts many times our shuttles are searching for guests who either have not picked up their luggage or simply can't locate the correct pickup location. We quote twenty minutes so as not to provide guests with misleading expectations. In most cases our shuttle is able to pickup guests in 15 minutes or less. On a great day you may be able to get downtown in 15 minutes depending on your time of arrival. That same ride may take you 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic through the tunnel. Believe me when you have been stuck inside the Ted Williams or the Sumner for 30 minutes you will notice the difference. Our hotel is uniquely positioned to provide you easy access to downtown through the water taxi or MBTA as well as the convenience of a complimentary ride to the airport. It was our great pleasure to host you as our guest and we hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back again very soon. Should your travels return you to the area please reach out to me directly so that I may personally oversee your experience from start to finish!
