Anthony's Neapolitan pizza
Ranked #131 of 211 Restaurants in Tupelo
Price range: US$4 - US$18
Description: Our pizza combines the robust flavors and age-old pizza-making artistry mastered in Naples, Italy with the kindness and hospitality of the Deep South. Anthony’s is the first APN certified restaurant in Mississippi. Our pizzaiuoli’s have been trained by the world’s best pizzaiuoli and President of APN, Roberto Caporuscio. That means we’re the real deal. Learn about Roberto and his organization here. You will come to expect very distinctive characteristics from our pizzas. They are soft, foldable with our signature blackened char spots, and they’re so good you’re going to want more. Our pizzas are crafted from first-rate, simple and fresh ingredients: wheat flour dough, San Marzano tomatoes, basil, and freshly made mozzarella cheese—all fired and baked in about 90 seconds at around 900°F of perfection in our traditional, wood-burning oven! When we’re not able to use imported ingredients from the old country we search for the absolute best and highest quality products right here in the good old U.S. of A.

I took 15 people to dine here at 5pm. 12 out of 15 had never been and didn't know what to expect except (maybe) some good pizza. It was a success! I got the special pizza with pistachio pesto sauce. Wow! It was baked perfectly and toasted just right on the crust and the sauce made the pizza even better. It's that fancy oven...how cool! All of the party ordered all over the dart-board-everything from buffalo chicken pizza to calzone. Everything came out perfectly and all but 1 person (truth be told, she isn't easy to please at any time) was very happy with their dinner. The servers were attentive and the fresh flowers on the table gave our experience that last splash of wonderful. We will definitely be back again for more pizza! Oh, someone tried to order a meatball sub and wondered why an Italian restaurant didn't have such a thing on the dinner menu. They have it on the lunch menu, but not available for dinner. She was a little put out, but when in Rome-deal with it! Get the pizza why dontcha- not hard! Just don't be difficult! Order from the menu! They have variety! Give it a try

We just moved from Naples and Italy and stopped at this restaurant that claimed to have Neapolitan Pizza and while skeptical, we were amazed how authentic and good the pizzas and antipasti were. We will stop by Anthony's for a taste of Naples every trip we make. Take our advice and stop by

My wife and I had a chance for a much needed date night. We chose Anthony's. Food was good but it really didn't WOW us. We ordered a 12 in pizza , each had a salad , a very small appetizer and tea . It was a "pretty pricey " for what we had. Service was really good but we prob won't go back. Far To expensive for what we had.
Sorry guys!!

We met with another couple on a Saturday night for an early meal. We were to be four but one was arriving late and we couldn't be seated until our entire party had arrived. Since we were to get a table for four and we had three at the restaurant it didn't seem to make any sense but we waited and were so glad.

This place features pizza cooked in a wood fired oven just like in Italy and it is amazing. The product is just like what you might find in Naples or along the Amalfi Coast. It is totally unlike the commercial product that it available in most US pizza restaurants.

The four of us split two pizzas, one with sliced meats and the other sausage and peppers. The all meat pizza was good and the other was amazingly good. We enjoyed cannoli for desert. It came with a creamy ricotta filling finished with chocolate sauce.

The cocktail list featured some excellent items-negroni and Aperol spritz. These aren't found on most restaurant lists and add to the authenticity of Anthony's.

Our waitress, Jasmine, did a very good job and was vivacious and very sweet.

Get your whole party together and enjoy a real Italian experience.
