Visiting Elvis Presley's childhood home was amazing because the lifestyle in the 1930's in Tupelo was quite different than elsewhere. They didn't have indoor toilets here. The block shared outhouses. Mrs. Presley had a lively background which they might not always disclose to every tourist. When you are done here look us up on CodeBlueWaterSports.com and head over to Elvis Presley State Park for a bike ride or a kayak ride on the lake. We deliver rentals for free.

We really enjoyed our stop at the Birthplace and Museum.

I expected it to be just a house sitting in an empty lot with no actual tour.

The house is open with furniture, the church that Elvis went to as a child is there, and the museum is very large itself.

It's such a great stop to read and learn more about Elvis and music history.

There's so much I did not know about him, but now I can say I am more knowledgeable.

The facility was clean, and the tours were amazing. Keep up the great work everyone!

We made the pilgrimage to Tupelo to visit the childhood home of Elvis Presley. For a nominal fee, you get access to an expansive gift shop, movie about his life, access to the actual church building he attended, with an audio visual presentation, and access to his first home. You can stand in the very room where Elvis was born! Our guide was a personal friend of Elvis and gave some neat anecdotes and info that not just anyone would know. Lovely grounds and lots of great photo ops. Make the trip!

Elvis Presley, the one and only. I wanted to visit Graceland in TN, but we couldn’t it because of time. So we decided on the second best option, his birthday place in Tupelo Mississippi. I loved it. The grounds and exhibits offer a great feel and information about Elvis’ origins. I gained a greater appreciation about his life, who he was, his family and friends. Really... awesome place, rich in history.

This is a must for Elvis fans & even for those who have an interest in this period of American history when Presley was growing up.

It’s a tiny house - a really humble dwelling place, and is very atmospheric. Well presented and not tacky at all (it could so easily have been “Disneyfied”)

There is also on site the small church where the family worshipped, and this was superb- a sophisticated audio-visual presentation taking up this part of the tour. Truly excellently done.

All in all, a splendid visit. Recommended.
