Cordial and helpful staff, good drinks and wine, good steak, pasta just okay. Good but not special.

“Happy Hour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2012

Really nice selection of food for happy hour. Quality at a great price. Impeccable service. Would definitely return to this restaurant!

“Bad food, bad service, clueless staff.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2012

I visited the Palm with colleagues last week. The food was mediocre and the service was almost non-existent. My steak was way underdone, but I did not send it back for fear that the restaurant would close before they ever got it cooked. Both salad (green) and dessert (chocolate mousse) looked and tasted like they were fresh from the grocery store. There are too many good choices in San Diego (we had some really good food and service the rest of the week) to risk this ever again.

“Great Meeting Place for Happy Hour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2012

Met with a large group of friends and visitors from out of town in the evening during Happy Hour. They have what is called the Surf Board, a large oval table that might seat 12 and we were able to use that. Made for very nice gathering. Their 'Prime Bits' appetizers are all $5.50 during happy hour as well as a discount on house wine.
My appetizer was less than stellar. The wine was very good (I had the Cab).
Our server, Robert, was the best. Took care of our many individual needs professionally.
