Crew very helpful. Hot food on board. Comfortable boat. I had a wetsuit that was too thin for the cold water and the dive master went above and beyond to get me properly outfitted.

Cancelled on us less than 12 hours before our dive with a brief email offering us dives a differing day. After 8 of us had traveled from up state.

No explanation given.

As a fairly experienced diver in cold and warm waters, and an advanced instructor, I'm fairly picky about my dive boats. This one ticked all the boxes. The booking process was easy and our kit was all ready to go when we arrived - and it fitted perfectly. Rental gear was good brands and in great condition as well.

The crew were really helpful and efficient, and the boat was well-maintained, safe and plenty of space to kit up. The dives are unguided unless you ask for one (and pay extra) but there's 4 shot lines on the wreck and it's almost impossible to get lost if you listen to the brief, picture the simple orientation of the wreck and don't penetrate it unless you are really, really sure you know what you're doing!! Bottom depth is around 110ft.

The dive brief was very much for grown-up, somewhat experienced divers (PADI AOW minimum) and presumes you are confident and competent. Do not do this dive without a guide if all you and your buddy have ever done is warm water, super vis, holiday diving. You won't enjoy it, and it will be less than safe. It was perfect for us though - very hands-off, good safety brief about the boat and recall procedures, about the wreck layout etc, but assumed knowledge on PSI, kitting up, buddy signals etc. Again, perfect for us but be careful if you're used to only PADI babysitting dives.

Water was 11C and vis about 15-20ft.

At every stage I felt confident in the crew, the kit and the boat - they were helpful and professional, which made for two fun dives. Thanks!

Very well organised dive operation. All pre-planning very clear and helpful. Great boat...one of the few in the area that can get you out to the best spots. Amazing boat crew. Ladies...mother and daughter really personally looked after a very cold, larger than average....british dive baby struggling with cold and stubborn wetsuit. Kelp dead atm which was not communicated. Dive changed to wrecks on agreement with all onboard. Hired dive master was also was great and much needed investment for one newish diver and knowledge of sites.

Waterhorse Charters out of San Diego, CA are topshelf when it comes to dive boats, divemasters, & overall making sure one has a great Scuba exp. I made a three tank dive on 9/25/15 to The Coronado Islands. My Divemaster, Bethy, was amazing. I will be going back for sure.
